Unit1114 Balcony Beach View The Summit is located along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches in Panama City Beach. This unit sleeps 5 and is in a great location with a stunning view of the beach from the 11th floor. This condo has 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, beach side living area, full kitchen, and balcony with beach views. We continuously make updates in decor, appliances, etc. to make our condo as satisfactory as possible. At this gated community property you will find many amenities. At and around the pool deck there are two large pools, two kiddie pools, two outdoor hot tubs, two poolside bathrooms, poolside TIKI bar, Bikini Bob's Bar and Grill, and The Summit Snack Shack Convenience Store & Ice Cream Shop. Other amenities on the property include an indoor hot tub, exercise/fitness room, sauna, laundry, tennis courts, basketball courts, shuffleboard, charcoal grills, and arcade/game room. Some amenities are undergoing renovation and may not be available - inquire for more information. The Summit beach is accessible via a short boardwalk which opens to 610 feet of white sand beachfront. At the beach there is a volleyball area, parasailing and jet ski rentals, and padded beach lounge chair rentals with large umbrellas. Within walking distance are restaurants, shopping, golf courses, amusement parks, and more for entertainment after the beach! St. Andrew's State Park is a short drive down the road with access to the beach, pier, nature walks, snorkeling, jetty, Shell Island, boat ramp, and more! The kitchen is fully equipped, with a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, blender, pots and pans, and other cooking utensils. The master bedroom has 1 king sized bed and private bathroom with tub/shower combo. The hallway has twin sized bunk beds with storage and a half bath. The ocean side living area has a pullout sleeper sofa, dining area, and full kitchen. Arrival - PARKING NOTICE: Upon arrival, guests must register and check-in at the lobby office. Parking passes are required and include arm bands for six guests. If the office is closed on your arrival a security guard will permit your entrance to the facility, but a parking pass must be purchased in the morning. Parking pass is a one-time fee from the resort of approximately $20 with a maximum of one parking pass during busy season (summer, major holidays). Please note that the resort is currently doing updates, renovations, and making repairs to elevators and other damage left over from Hurricane Michael. This should not be too much of an interruption to your stay, should not interrupt your time on the beach or in the unit, and noise should not continue before or after posted quiet hours. Rules & regulations on resort property are subject to change without notification. All rules imposed by resort must be followed. The building and the unit are older and could use some updating. The previous renters opted a late checkout which rushed the cleaning service. You could tell they were rushed. Not the cleanest I’ve seen. They were short on some towels so those were dropped off after we checked in. Now for the good part. The view was awesome and the beach was close to perfect. We opted to rent lounge chairs and umbrella for the week in the beach. Not too expensive and very relaxing. I would go back to the area as there are plenty places to eat and things to do. If I could find a place similar in cost that was updated I would choose that. Overall a good experience and relaxing vacation. ##### Steve L. The condo was okay, it could have been a little cleaner. So why the negative review? Post checkout, the owner claimed that my spouse and I damaged a wall that was damaged when we arrived. She did not reach out to us to inquire about what happened and ask about the damage, so imagine my surprise when I receive an email from the insurance company claiming that I damaged her unit. The elevators were super slow and often there were lines to get on them. We were forced to climb 11 flights of stairs a few times, which was kind of a bummer but good exercise. The location isn't really within walking distance of much and Panama City was so difficult to get around due to the traffic jams. The complex was nice and I felt safe there. Our favorites were booked up so we chose this one as the price was similar to what we have paid. We will NOT return to this unit. It is not comparable to others in the price range. Pros- Nice pools that stay open later than others. Tiki Bar and Bikini Bob's are convenient. Kids toys and boogie board in unit. Easy beach access and lifeguard present on a red flag day. Gated parking lot with dedicated spots for unloading near entry. Keyless entry to unit. Nicely decorated. Cons- Major buildup of dust/dirt on walls and vents. Toothpaste and snot stains on walls and surfaces. Brown stains on couch and dining room chairs that I mostly scrubbed off. Smoke alarm opened and missing battery. Light fixtures rusting, missing cover or not working at all. Bathroom towels that smell dirty or have large stains. No pizza pan. Elevators in constant disrepair. The far right elevator needs to be pushed closed in order for it to operate. The 2nd middle elevator trapped us on a floor for a scary few minutes then bounced around to different floors. We resorted to using the stairs, which isn't exactly relaxing when you are on the 11th floor and lugging beach equipment around. After returning home, I requested my cleaning fee be refunded and was denied. Condo was clean and has a great view along with everything we needed! Owner was quick to answer any questions, which was great! The condo is remodeled compared to other units I have stayed at the Summit. It was well furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we cooked. Resort has a Tiki Bar, Beach Bar for food, 2 nice pools, and is central to loads of the fun attractions. Only downside of the trip were the elevators, only 1 of the 4 were working during most of our stay so we had to walk and carry our stuff up and down 11 flights most days. ##### Rich A. We were able to put a pack and play in the corner of the bedroom and still had plenty of room. The living room is large with a beautiful view of the beach. The kitchen was a little small but we were still able to cook most of our meals in there. The condo was slightly more dated then we expected but that did not negatively impact our stay at all. Our baby loved the heated pool. Over all super positive experience. We would definitely rent the condo again. ##### Suzette K.
