"This listing has been changed since I booked it, but it's still inaccurate. It was originally listed as a 2brm 2ba entire home with fully loaded kitchen, linens, etc. It was all a lie! AND as if that wasn't enough, the host tried to make us feel guilty because he messed up the listing & wasn't making much money. "This was a very charming and cool comfortable Guesthouse. I enjoyed the veranda and rooftop pool. There's a stunning view and close proximity to the legendary Bob Marley beach. I will return to this place again!"

"Pristine is the word I’ll use to describe the grounds of Strawberry Hills. Felt like I was close to heaven🙂 because we were so far in the mountains of Irish Town, St Andrew. The rooms were immaculately maintained and the decor complimented the architectural period of the cottages. We woke up early to witness a magnificent sunrise then enjoy a fresh delicious breakfast. From Demario who greeted us upon our arrival to Kevin who assisted us with our luggage to Jassett who exemplified customer service greatness while caring for our breakfast needs. I didn’t want to leave but life… I hope to return but if life doesn’t allow me the opportunity to, I can say Strawberry Hill has filled spaces in my heart lost to the bustle of life."

"The home was authentic Jamaican, gated and secure. I arrived late in the day with an emerging dental emergency. The next morning this required immediate attention. The Hostess Tamara walked with me to a nearby Dental Centre to be successfully treated. As I returned and departed for the International Airport, the host Shane taxied me to the airport for a flat $25 rate as advertised, (airport taxis were asking for $35-$45 for the same transport.) The hosts were welcoming, attentive and gracious. This home is a no brainer choice for any budget minded traveller who doesn't want to compromise security."

"RafJam B&B nestled in the lush green mountains of Jamaica. You WILL need a driver who knows how to get there. I will always remember our time here. If you want to feel Jamaica say here. The chirping of the birds, sound of the wind and the river that runs through the property are priceless. Susan is a gem of a host. 10/10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"

"Great little hotel, super convenient location in downtown Kingston, safe and secure access in gated property. I was almost always able to find street parking right in front of the gate and there are security cameras. Very clean and comfortable ; the rooms have cold AC and the bathroom was very nice and clean. No shampoo was provided, just a small bar soap, so bring your own. There are shops and restaurants nearby though the nicer restaurants are about a 15 minute drive. It was cash only at check in for the stay . There is also a legal ganja shop next door (same ownership) with a smoking lounge; very convenient. Staff is friendly . The coffee and tea lounge provided is super nice; large fridge , microwave and toaster are there, though it would be even nicer if there were some small tables to put your cup/plate down on."

"Everyone is so welcoming here . Jay was above and beyond providing great communication with all the information needed to prepare for the stay, and his mom Angela is very warm and kind and cooks amazing meals, I loved all the fresh whole foods and juices . The location is a perfect base for doing the Blue Mountain peak hike. There is also a river that you can hike to and swim in. They also grow and sell their own coffee! The guesthouse is only reachable by 4wd, if you don’t have that they can arrange a ride/ pick you up . I was able to take my rental sedan as close as Hagley gap but coming from Portland there were parts of the mountain roads that were pretty sketchy, having to ford a river and go up a pretty steep hill. It might not be passable if it’s been raining. Also Google Maps directions had some errors. Driving to/from Kingston the roads are much better."

Starlight Chalet

"Starlight Chalet is a very nice, well maintained classic building with beautiful landscaping. The view is wonderful, especially from upstairs and from the gazebo. The food was very good (but perhaps a bit expensive). The beds were comfortable and the room/bathroom was clean and well-maintained. There is no AC, but the temperature at 3500' was much cooler than in the adjacent lowlands so AC was not essential. We went on several birding excursions and found lots of good birds. If you go, Ricardo Miller is an excellent and knowledgeable local guide."
