Welcome to Villa Carmelita.
Glamorous Palm Springs Villa with strong ties to Old Hollywood. Once owned by Sonny & Cher. Very private walled and gated estate in The Mesa neighborhood - a quiet residential hideaway nestled along the base of the San Jacinto mountains. This is not a house that is set up for children. Each bedroom (except the primary) enters & exits to either the pool or to the front of the house. The bedrooms are not connected. This is why we do not allow children. Gorgeous center courtyard with a large pool (optional pool heating can be purchased for $70/night), alfresco dining, and a living area with a fireplace and a daybed. Spa. Outdoor shower. Built-in BBQ grill. Ping Pong Table. Up to 2 dogs under 50lbs are allowed for a $100 (plus city TOT Tax) pet fee per dog. There is electric car charging available; Tesla owners need to bring their own adapter
The Primary Guest must be at least 25 years old at the time of arrival. No more than 5 cars at or near the property. No outdoor music or amplified sounds. Quiet hours are from 10pm until 10am. No glitter or confetti. No nails, thumbtacks, or staple holes in walls. Only painter’s tape is allowed on walls & ceilings. Any violation of these rules will result in additional charges or fines and immediate termination of your stay with no refund. All payments must be made 30 days before arrival to avoid cancellation of the reservation with no refund. NOTE: This is not a house that is set up for children. Each bedroom (except the primary) enters & exits to either the pool or to the front of the house. The bedrooms are not connected to the main house (except the primary bedroom). This is why we do not allow children.

Such a beautiful place!

We LOVED our stay at this amazing house. It was even more lovely in person and had everything we needed for a long weekend away. The beds were so comfortable, the location was peaceful, and everywhere you looked there was a beautiful view. The owl in the trees hooting away at night was the icing on the cake. Would 100% recommend and stay again.

Perfect stay

I stayed here with a group of friends for my 40th birthday. It was perfect. The pool was everything we hoped. The property is situated right next to the mountains, offering stunning views. Although it feels calm and secluded, it is still conveniently close to everything in town. We loved it and would happily go back again and again.

Family getaway

We had our BEST VRBO experience ever with our adult kids and their spouses. It was perfect as each couple had their own room with a separate entrance. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with everything you need.

40th birthday weekend

We had a great stay at the house. It is beautiful, the pool area particularly is pretty and helped set the mood. The property management is nice, communicates well, and was quick to respond when there was a little hiccup with the house.

Great Family Get-away

The house worked well for our 3 generation get-together. The common space provided a comfortable gathering place. The kitchen was well-stocked and there was room for us all to eat together. The dispersed bedrooms offered some privacy when the crowd was too much. And the pool! My seven year old granddaughter said it was the BEST place she had ever stayed and when were we going back.

Oasis to relax in.

Property was exactly as advertised, with beautiful pool and garden spaces, well outfitted for an enjoyable vacation. The house a perfect setup for an extended group, with separate bed/baths and private entrances inside a private compound. Would love to go back!

This house is stunning! It’s on a secluded street and private. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous courtyard pool and fabulous interior. The house has all of the amenities you could want, super clean and beautifully decorated. The hot tub is an added treat! - large and comfortable We will definitely be back!

Thanksgiving With Family

We loved our stay at the Sonny and Cher house. It is perfect for a group who want to spend time together and also have your own space to chill. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner. The heated pool was great, the neighborhood is fabulous! There is a fun selection of games and puzzles, it's the perfect home to hang out with family and friends.

Dorinda's 70th!!

A wonderful get together with family from Savannah, Denver, the Central Valley and the Bay Area. Plenty of room for ten adults, clean with all the amenities. The property managers, Jeremy and David, were a treat to deal with!!

The property was even more amazing in person than the pictures. The property managers were a dream to work with. Some warm and welcoming. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and there was so much room to spread out. Will definitely want to book this property again and again! Fantastic!

Wonderful Home

We had an amazing experience at this house. It has everything you need for a fun and comfortable stay. Jeremy gave us a great tour and was very responsive on text. The only one thing that was a little tricky was that the AC is locked and set to 75 which on a 118 degree weekend wasn’t cool enough to give us respite. We had a great time though and would come back for sure .

Thanksgiving in Palm Springs

Our multi-generation family of adult kids through grandparents very much enjoyed relaxing at the beautiful Villa Carmelita. Floating in the pool, watching football and cooking the turkey was a perfect way to blend vacation with a traditional Thanksgiving day. The layout of the house allowed us plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to spread out and take in the natural beauty surrounding us. We are so grateful for this lovely home away from home. Hope to be back and make this a new tradition!

Great property, great management

Rented this gorgeous home for a girls’ weekend and it was perfect! It is set up well for adults to have their own space but also wonderful and large community spaces. The highlight is definitely the gorgeous pool area, though we also thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable living room and incredibly well-stocked kitchen. The property managers we absolutely fantastic and helped us out whenever we needed assistance. 10/10 and I would definitely rent again!

Perfect Space for Couples!

We rented the house to spend time with our adult children. The two private Casita-style bedrooms were great for the kids and their partners to have space that felt private and yet connected. The master bedroom is spacious. The fourth bedroom was private for a friend who joined us. The kitchen is VERY well stocked! The pool is great. The house is private and yet convenient to everything! Jeremy was very responsive and great with communication.

Over priced

Great layout and perfect for entertainement. Tastefully decorated in an upscale neighberhood. BUT totally missed the marked on cleaness: two of the bathrooms had serious stains, so were two of the bedsheets. The laudry room was a mess with lint and spider webs. For the price paid and cleaning fee charged ahead of time, this was a total miss!!

A Hen Weekend To Remember

This is a fabulous property. Perfect for 8 adults or 4 couples. The bunk room is a great addition if you have teenagers. All the main bedrooms have their own bathroom and they are separate from one another to really give you a sense of privacy when you need it. Jeremy, the property manager was lovely, a great help and quick to respond. The pool and grounds have so much to offer. We never left the house, because why on earth would we. The kitchen was set up with everything you need to prepare and serve all your own meals. We brought fancy coffee and groceries. There is a Trader Joes and a Ralphs nearby and a Whole Foods about 20 minutes away. We are already planning our next trip. This time we plan on bringing the husbands.

Villa Carmelita was excellent. Felt much bigger and much more chic in person (don't let the Bowie pillows fool you!). Hosts were easy and attentive. The kitchen is extremely well appointed from cooking to serving wares, all your essential spices etc. All the rooms felt very private and separate. Location is also 10/10.
