5 stars to the staff; front desk, concierge, and bellhop. I liked the property grounds very pristine unlike my room/bungalow which was not pristine in anyway... first off the couch was dirty and stained, rug dirty looking and torn like an outdoor rug. Kitchen cabinets looked smudged and worn out and lots of chips and dents on cabinets and most of the furniture if not all; couldn’t help but feel like I was sitting and using some garage sale furniture. The kitchen eat in table and stools stained with food, and unbelievably the microwave handle looked like it once broke off and then it was super glued back on it is so visible. As I walked on the beautiful marble looking floor it all felt uneven. As you walk into the bedroom the carpet by the door is all frayed and you can feel the staples. And the bed was nowhere as premium as advertised. The bathroom clean but nowhere near pristine, moldy faucet, dusty light. The balcony is nice but the chairs are frayed and can easily scratch or rip your clothes. I called the front desk but no one was answering for about 2 mins to switch rooms didn’t want to make the drive, room through Expedia was non refundable and I was getting tired so I slept. I was expecting luxury accommodation and vacation escape away from everyday living not that my home is unsightly it is great.
Anyway, I had pretty high expectations for $1800/nt needless to say I didn’t get to experience a 5 star Waldorf Astoria. Hoping that bungalow will get a ‘face lift’ soon.
