It was spacious and well maintained, plus had a really awesome rock formation out front. When we got there I didn’t realize how far from Hilo it was (which was my fault for not checking). It’s about a 30 min drive to Hilo. We did have problems getting checked in, but I do not feel it was the owners fault. We got in late and did not have the gate code. When I called the owner I got no answer. He said he didn’t have a missed call (which I believe because he was very response prior to the incident and after). I called VRBO to see if they could help because I couldn’t get the instructions in the app. They were only able to tell me to find a hotel room nearby and they would reimburse me. Once we got settled in it was great. The house is on a quiet street. You feel like you are in the middle of the rain forest. I would definitely stay here again. I can’t speak much to amenities in the house as we mostly just slept and showered here. ##### Lori D.
