Excellent location. Easy drive to town. Great location for visitors wanting to go to Mount Rainer. Clean and comfortable with every single thing you need supplied. Great and quick response from hosts.
The host was amazing and super responsive when we needed assistance. The home was perfect for our family and our dog. Loved the trails in the forest from the backyard.
Beautiful, well maintained home with all amenities and extras! If it's not provided, you probably didn't need it anyway! This is a great place to relax and unwind after a day of hiking or sightseeing. If you're planning a vacation to the Mt. Ranier area, book Das Waldhaus - you'll be glad you did.
House was beautiful and thoughtfully decorated and stocked. Had everything we needed and clear directions on how to use it or where it was. Peacful area with lots of opportunities to explore nature!
Even through we were in Packwood for a short weekend. The house was wonderful and in a great location tucked in the woods. The backyard had a hot tub and was quite secluded. This had such a home-like feel during our stay. We can't wait to come back!
Absolutely a wonderful trip! The cabin was a wonderful treat for our Birthdays. Place was clean, beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful. June my dog loved the trails behind the cabin. The hot tub was just Ahhhhhsome. Peaceful neighborhood. Fresh eggs next door to make fabulous breakfast. The detail instructions on all things was appreciated left no guessing on how things worked, location, or what was available to use. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home
comfy couches, well stocked kitchen, hot tub out back, fire pit and chairs, everything you need to relax and unwind. Felt super secluded out back even though there are neighbors near.
This property is perfect, down to the finest details. The owners should take commissions and offer their talent to other VRBO propertiers. A great way to spend a weekend.
House was beautiful, location was awesome and close to many things, hot tub was killer, super easy check in. The only thing we didnt like, was that we had to go back home. Will book a longer stay next time haha
This was a lovely home. So clean, well organized and stocked. The owners have thought of everything.
We enjoyed having the hot tub and private backyard to enjoy at the end of exploring Mt. Rainier National Park.
The beds and couches were comfortable.
They had a very well stocked kitchen.
We had a wonderful stay here! The house was clean and well-equipped, and you can walk out the back yard and just keep walking into the National Forest. The internet speed is very fast. The kitchen, unlike in many other vacation rentals, has all the things we needed to actually cook. We didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit and the back yard so much because the mosquitoes were vicious while we were there, but the hot tub was nice!
My skiing friends and I needed a clean, cute, and comfortable place to rest while enjoying nearby White Pass ski area. This property checked all those boxes and more. We've stayed in many rental houses and I can't remember another property, or another owner, meeting our needs more perfectly. Highly recommended!
The cabin is so cute and the setting is extraordinary. We spent time enjoying the beautiful backyard, the fire ring and the hot tub. The house was perfect for my daughter and me and her 3 teen-agers. The beds were comfortable and the house was very spacious feeling. The kitchen was lovely and so well organized with labels indicating where all the kitchen things were. They even had smore sticks. The location was perfect for our Mount Rainier adventures. I would definitely stay here again.
From the moment we opened the door it was abundantly clear that the host made sure every aspect of our stay was comfortable. From the tea, coffee pitches for drink mix, the plush comforters, cooking utensils, etc. the Host really ensured that we lacked for nothing. We were beyond happy with our stay. The property is clean and well-maintained. This is a perfect rental for families, couples, those with animals, friends, etc. Great location, great home and we'll be back!!!!
Das Waldhaus has quickly become a favorite of ours. So much that I’m hesitant to leave a review because I selfishly don’t want the booking calendar to fill up.
We hiked and explored the riverside. The late steelhead making their way upstream provided an invitation for the eagles - we saw no less than 9 Bald Eagles soaring above the Cowlitz River on a single afternoon. And there are great spots for Nordic skiing just a short drive away.
This was our second winter visit and we’re hoping to get back for a summer weekend.
We had a wonderful stay here! The cabin was beautiful and just right for our family. It felt so spacious even with 2 adults and 3 kids. This was the most well-appointed rental we have EVER stayed in. It was so nice to have some staples we could use instead of having to purchase and then throw away. Everything was super clean, the beds were very comfortable (doesn’t seem to be the norm for most rentals), kitchen was well stocked, and there were plenty of amenities to use. Plus, the view out the back door was lovely. It was a quiet and peaceful community.
On another note, the owners literally saved our vacation. We left behind important documents and they were so wonderfully responsive and helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness. We were so lucky to have wonderful, trustworthy renters after us, these great hosts, plus a housekeeper that went well beyond the call of duty to meet us halfway to return our documents.
Our family stayed in this home for a couple nights in July. The house was super clean and had the best stocked kitchen we've ever encountered. There was even a food thermometer! The beds were very comfortable and the setup of the home was ideal for a family with kids, with common areas situated between the master and other bedrooms. The home and property were very quiet. Having 2 bathrooms was an unexpected bonus (this is probably in the listing, but our family is used to sharing one bath on our vacations). The location was convenient for exploring Mt Rainier, but we also enjoyed just hanging out in the backyard. The home is immaculately maintained and organized. It made relaxing here easy, even when it was time to cook a big family meal. I would recommend this property to any family or friends who would be traveling in this area.
Everything about our stay was wonderful. Great location for hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park. The cabin itself was great and Kimberly was a delightful host. Would love to stay here again when we return to the area.
