This cabin was perfect for a weekend of destination relaxation. We made use of the full kitchen, cozy living area with big TV, and loved the 4 min drive to downtown Packwood. The only downside was that the bed was a little bit too soft for my partner, although I thought it was comfortable. Overall a wonderful experience and I want to come back during the ski season. Thank you!

Stayed 2 nights while visiting Mt Rainier. Cabin is very quaint with all amenities as needed. Very close to town and National Park. Great water pressure and heat for a relaxing shower after a long hike. Comfortable and quiet surroundings; beats staying in a hotel. Highly recommend!

Cozy Cabin for a Snowy Getaway
My partner and I both have January birthdays, so we chose the weekend between them to celebrate both at this sweet cabin and at White Pass. It was SO cozy and thoughtfully stocked! We took advantage of the boot dryer, the bbq grill and charcoal, and even the rolling pin. Great wifi for kitchen dancing and the place heats up fast and is so charming with the fireplace. I highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting again. Thanks, John & Panna!

Packwood-Mount Rainier area
The property is in overall reasonable condition for a small cabin. There was good reading light and the kitchen was stocked with the basics for cooking. There was a fan and AC to cool off the cabin which was helpful since it was quite warm during part of my stay. The area was nice and quiet. The internet worked well. It was an easy 2 mile drive to town. Overall, I would consider staying there again if I were to vacation again in that area.

Peace, Love and Cabin 5
Although John was a little bit hard to get ahold of because of the area we were in we were able to do fix the problem immediately . It seems that that it was a 102 out boo out and that was unexpected that was unexpected and someone stole the fans from the cabin so when we got there it was very very hot in the cabin the cabin with 1 small 8" round fan.. But with within 2 days we had an air conditioner And hooked it up we hit a few glitches here and there but we were able to work it out doubt I appreciate all that they did and it is a beautiful area that therein just beware That phone cell service service is almost questionable questionable TV work fine fine thanks John had a great time

Great location
We made a summer visit to this cabin to use as a base for hiking day trips. It worked well for that purpose but was probably better suited for winter use. The cabin was in need of minor repairs like all cabins. Ceiling lights flicker, TV worked marginally, hot water faucet stuck on in bathroom, a full length mirror would have been helpful, no place to store clothing etc. All of those need attention but didn’t detract at all from our stay. We really enjoyed the location and the area.. owners were helpful!

Funky, rustic cabin, not quite as pictured.. Tiny
This host had photographed this cabin in a way that is misleading. It is tiny - half the size I expected. Rustic, funky, pleasant setting. (and we were glad to be out of hotels). It's compact with things put away in corners and even in the rafters. Stepping into bathtub is risky - it's slippery. Kitchen well equipped but with odd pots and pans. IF you are planning on visiting Mt Rainier before July 1st, this is NOT the place to stay as it is 2.5 hours from the Paradise Entrance because of snow road closures. I think it's overall for skiers. It's not that we didn't enjoy our stay - it's that it wasn't what we expected.

Hi Suzanna, I certainly didn't mean for the photos to be misleading in any way. Just so anyone reading this knows that the two pairs of skis and two fishing poles in the rafters are for anyone to use. Good suggestion on the bath mat - done. MOUNT RAINIER PARK Mount Rainier is 17 min (12.9 mi) via US-12 E and WA-123 or 23 min (15.5 mi) via NF-52 Both roads usually open in May but vary by year and snowfall. Hope this helps John

Loved the cabin, loved Packwood!
My dad and I were looking for a fun weekend spot to go hiking and fishing when we found this cabin. It's a cozy little spot, but has everything that you need (and luxuries you wouldn't expect). We kept the wood stove burning, watched movies after a long day of hiking, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Straight out of a Fairytale
This cozy cabin was more than we could have ever hoped for. From the kitchen amenities, to the cloud-like bed, to the warmth of the roaring fire, this cabin was well worth our 18 hour drive from Southern California to Packwood Washington. We were so sad to leave, but we know this will not be our last time visiting the picturesque place that we were able to call home for a few short days.

Perfect Location!
We absolutely loved how close this little cabin was to everything we needed and wanted to do! The cabin can get pretty cold so the best way to heat it up is with a wood fire in the fireplace. We found this heated it up quicker than using the propane heater. Plenty of firewood was available to us, so it was perfect!

Perfect place to cozy in and relax by the fire! We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday here! We needed some time away from the city and this place was perfect for our family of 3 and our pup. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook, even a full Thanksgiving feast. We especially enjoyed playing in the snow at beautiful Mt. Rainier and walking the river trails at Packwood State Park.

Very cute cabin! Not secluded like you might think it’s in a row of 5 little cabins. Property is well kept with a private fire circle out back and location is just a short drive to town with a few shops and restaurants (the Packwood Brewery was a great little evening out and the air stream ice cream trailer was an extra treat!) The inside of the cabin was clean with plenty of amenities (kitchenware and fresh linens/towels). We all agreed a few updates would go along way especially in the bathroom but overall a very pleasant stay. Oh and there is a wood burning fireplace which let off a lot of heat and made the nights in cozy!

Hey Mark, Sorry about the fridge problem. We replaced various parts on that fridge only to find out that the problem was the plug-in socket on the wall. Anyway, it's fixed and good to go. Glad you had a good stay. Thanks, John and Panna

We had a great time here at this little cabin-it was perfect for what we needed. There were a few electric problems, (bathroom light went out, fridge lost power briefly, etc) but other than that, we enjoyed our stay completely! We wish we were still back at the base of the mountain! Thank you for letting us stay at your cute little mountain cabin! We loved it!

Great Access to Mount Rainier national Park
My partner and I stayed here for a week in order to explore Mount Rainier national Park. The cabin offered great access to the park. Only 20 minutes away from great hikes and about 45 minutes away from Paradise Inn. We worked remotely during the week and the Internet was great. The cabin is cozy… it was great for two people but any more than that I think would be tight. The kitchen is updated and well stocked with spices and other basic cooking staples. You don’t need to bring anything if you are planning on cooking big meals here. My only complaint is the bathroom is quite small and could use some updating. It ft a little bit like a bathroom that you would find in a basement. Other than that the location was great.

Hi Meghan, Noted on the bathroom. That was one of those things that you think you'll finish up but never get around to it. Well, I'm happy to report that we finally finished the tile work, plumbing, and new faucets. Feels like a nice hotel bathroom now. Should have done it sooner. Glad you had a good time up here.
