Pacific Crest - Snoqualmie Pass Trailhead

The hotel was affordably priced. The room and common areas were clean and decent looking. Location was convenient to the valley and downtown. Quiet after 10 and little to no road noise. Traveling with grandkids so wanted a hotel with pool which they have. Pool area has some kind of ventilation issue all windows open and heat blasting in there. The outside of the building has fallen apart around the pool, due to poor ventilation. I heard one guest complain of mold smell, thankfully I didn’t smell mold. Other teenage/adult guests boisterous at the pool which was not ideal for a 3 and 7 yo, however the hotel can’t control that. There is no breakfast on site. They have a juice machine that dispenses from 6-9 and packets of instant oatmeal. They give you a voucher for dennys but only for the adults, which caused an additional expense. The fridge was the smallest I’ve ever seen but it was a fridge. There is no hairdryer in the rooms as listed. I didn’t pack a hairdryer because the hotel listed one in the room so I was unable to do my hair for 3 days. There were dogs everywhere and they weren’t service animals! The clientele knows the hotel can’t ask them to prove that it’s a service animal so the dog stays free. If you have allergies beware. Overall a very poor stay due to poor representation by the hotel(other than the dilapidation of the pool). I would not stay again nor would I recommend staying there.

Not sure how this hotel is considered a luxury hotel other than the price. From the exterior to the furniture choices, it looks like a cool historical apartment building that was remodeled into a hotel in the 90's and not in a funky vintage modern way. I will say the staff was very friendly, the location was conveniently located for us, and the lobby was clean but once you stepped onto the very slow to arrive elevators or onto your floor, the whole place has the musty smell of an old building-maybe nostalgic for some but not pleasant for a hotel. Our room was advertised as having a fireplace but we didn't realize it was a wood burning one! The room smelled overwhelmingly like wood smoke when we arrived-for a minute I thought we had been assigned a smoking room! The built ins, including the bathroom, were all in need of repair (scratches, chips, water damage, etc.). Coffee in the lobby was only out till 10 on the weekend which seemed early for a weekend in Portland-most places at least have water and coffee when you come in. And then there's the $60 valet fee which is ridiculous given there's a pay to park just a few buildings over. They also charged a "resort amenities fee" which is weird since there are no amenities. Overall I would definitely not recommend this place nor stay here again.

This place is in a great location, staff is super friendly and helpful, cocktails at the bar were fantastic. Couldn’t ask for a better stay
