The cabin was comfortable and clean. We were very happy with our stay. The views are beautiful and it was beyond peaceful. We loved sitting on the porch listening to the sound of the river with our morning coffee & evening glass of wine. It was the perfect way to unwind at the end of each day. They have a basket full of brochures from the area that was helpful (for non planners like us). We went to Wilderness Rider and rented a UTV to ride the trails after finding a brochure in the basket. A must for the area is visiting the Oark General Store and getting a fried pie. A week later I’m still dreaming about that pie! ##### Chad C. So secluded and peaceful under the tall trees. Sun peaks through and man a great place to just hang out and unwind. Creek is just in front of cabin maybe a couple hundred feet and just the right amount of water flowing. Mid July, but humidity was lower and the shade made all the difference. Not many bugs around the cabin or the water. The cabin had everything you would need as far as basics, very clean and stocked. AC worked just fine to keep it cool in the evening and over night. Make sure you gas up before you get within the last hr of arriving, no stations around. I will probably be booking again as this was just what the son and I needed, a great get away spot with some seclusion. Big thanks to the owners, very responsive to text and knowledge of the area. Stayed 2 nights in Jul 2024 Verified ### 8/10 Good #### Ray K. 13 May 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Secluded Paradise in the woods Definitely recommend some type of 4x4 vehicle to reach this destination as it is a rugged off-road driveway with a shallow water crossing to reach the cabin. I loved how secluded this was, probably the most secluded a cabin has been that I have stayed at thus far. Amazing stream that runs along the property that always had an amazing sound you could hear outside. The inside was fairly up to date and very clean. Newer appliances, wi-fi, and satellite TV if you so choose. A few small grievances: almost every amenity was provided, unfortunately there was no facial tissue (Kleenex) and as somebody with allergies this was sorely missed and I was forced to use paper towels to blow my nose. I wished the windows had screens so I could have them open to hear the amazing stream sounds but this unfortunately was not the case. The metal roof was very loud at night with what I believe was squirrels crawling around on it. Luckily the back bedroom provided mostly decent sound insulation from this. The first night I was awoken to what I thought sounded like talking, but disregarded it. The second night sleeping I was awoken again to what I thought sounded like somebody closing an exterior door. Not sure if it was something crawling around outside making these sounds but it did make sleeping difficult, I am a light sleeper. ##### Ray K. Stayed 3 nights in May 2025 ---
