Une Pause à Outry - Ozenay
Retired winegrowers in organic farming, passionate oenophiles, Sylvie & Pascal open the doors to you of an elegant 18th century winegrower's residence steeped in history, carefully restored with taste in accordance with the rules of the art, nestled in a quiet belvedere on a south-east facing plateau overlooking the gently rolling countryside of the upper Mâconnais. Total calm in the hollow of a bucolic setting preserved in nature & greenery on the immediate edge of the meadow, on the edge of a vast forest (wildlife observable on site). In the heart of a peaceful typical rural mini hamlet, the oldest listed in Ozenay (picturesque unspoiled village, rich in a listed Romanesque church from the 12th century & a majestic medieval castle from the 15th century). Magnificent environment, 100% relaxing & restful. Beautiful unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside. Superb panorama & landscapes. Very comfortable cottage. Very spacious. Vast living room. Warm country character with a contemporary spirit, mixing tradition & modernity, enhanced by careful heritage restoration (conservation of stone & wood lintels, beams, frames, stone wall... all original). Lots of charm & character. Very cozy. Cozy and exotic atmosphere of a residence steeped in history and authenticity. Large sheltered terrace without vis-à-vis open on the meadow (vast private natural land). Large modular courtyard in a literal pétanque court. Composition: Semi-detached village house neighboring the owners' home (total independence). Wi-Fi (fiber). Electric heating. 1st floor (or ground floor from the back of the house): living room-kitchen-lounge, 2 bedrooms including 1 "family" duplex (2 single beds 90x190cm / double bed 160x200cm + 3 single beds 80x200cm) , 2 bathrooms (showers), 2 separate toilets. 2nd fl. : TV lounge (Canal Sat package including Canal Plus) with sleeping area (2 electric single beds 90x200cm). Covered terrace + natural ground + local bikes + private parking. All amenities 7 km. Great comfort and total serenity within a magnificent landscaped setting! Elegant 18th century winegrower's house of character, steeped in history & restored according to the rules of the art, nestled on a vast natural property in the hollow of a relaxing setting preserved in nature & greenery, 6.5 km from the medieval city of Brancion & 7 km from Tournus (all amenities and A6 on site). Calm & tranquility in the middle of the hilly wine-growing countryside, a succession of verdant bocage, vineyard slopes & wooded hills, nestled in the heart of a picturesque residential rural mini hamlet in the southern Burgundy massif, a stone's throw from the bucolic vineyards of the Haut Mâconnais & a vast preserved space classified as a Natura 2000 Zone. Ultra-privileged location, on the routes of the Romanesque churches circuit, a 42 km cycle route approved as a coup de coeur bike loop, the Mâconnais-Beaujolais wine route, marked hiking trails in green walks & a referenced mountain bike circuit directly connected to the renowned GTM (Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne / very rich network of hiking trails & mountain bike trails of the same type to be discovered in the nearby surroundings), 6 km from the GR 76 and 7 km from the greenway along the Saône. Location of choice in the heart of Tournugeois-Clunisois (labeled "Land of Art and History"), not far from the vineyards of Côtes Chalonnaises & Beaujolais, at the crossroads of Mâconnais, Chalonnais, Bresse Bourguignonne & Bresse de l'Ain, all rich in sublime landscapes, renowned gastronomy and a literally exceptional historical heritage. Ideal for easily exploring: 11 km from Lugny (first cellar producing Burgundy wines), 22 km from the medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National (labeled "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté"), 20 km from Pont de Vaux (river marina linked to the Saône), 28 km from the illustrious abbey city of Cluny, 32 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station at 34 km / Creusot TGV station at 48 km), 34 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled "City of Art and History"), 35 km from the sumptuous landscape jewel of the Roche de Solutré labeled "Grand Site de France" & 36 km from Louhans. The ideal charming resort for an ultra-comfortable "countrybreak" in a mini-tribe! Take a "Break at Outry"...

In a peaceful rural hamlet with great views it is a charming recently renovated well equipped spacious house with everything you need. There is a lovely covered seating area for dining or relaxing in the afternoon sun. The owners Sylvie and Pascal live close by and were very hospitable and on hand to help if necessary.
Just a 10 minute drive into Tournus and in the heart of the Macon wine district and the Cave Co-operatives at Lugny and Aze are excellent for reasonably priced quality wines. There is a gourmet Michelin star restaurant in Ozenay just a short distance away which is good and also there are good restaurants in Mancey and Aze. Best to book restaurants as most are busy and closed on certain days.
If you are looking for a quiet country retreat this is the ideal property.
