We picked this pub at random. What a good choice! Staff were excellent, rooms was good as was the food. The customers in the pub - and it was packed - were great fun and friendly. Will go there again

The Queen’s Head Inn is so friendly, so clean. It’s simple, sure, but the village is charming and warm. We heard the manor house across from us was haunted by a Grey Lady. Didn’t get to see her, but we did get an extensive tour from the church keeper John and more discussion with the church warden whose name we forgot. Amazing Thai food. We had all of Oxford available to us, and we chose to drive back to eat in Horspath. Jason, the innkeeper, is the best. We will be back when we have work at the Uni. This is the best place to stay when you want to visit Oxford but don’t want to deal with Oxford.

We found our stay enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a bit of banter in the pub with the locals we will definitely use this place again great value for money

Friendly atmosphere, jovial and approachable owner and staff. While the food is perhaps a departure from typical English fare, its still quite good. Overall a great way to experience the real England.

Fabulous, Jason the landlord was very accommodating and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Thai food in the restaurant was yummy. The bus stop close to the Queens Head was very handy for commuting into Oxford £4.50 return for the day.

The owners were so friendly! The accommodation was perfect for our trip to a concert at Blenheim Palace. No cooked breakfast which we hadn’t wanted today anyway as we were leaving early but some might want that. Otherwise really really brilliant.

NICE LITTLE PUB
Nice little pub, free house, friendly and efficient welcome. A good point is that my accomodation was outwith pub area, meaning I had my own key and could come and go as I pleased.

One night stay - family room
We stayed for one night whilst visiting daughter at Brookes uni, so a very convenient location. Free parking in car park. Only in the room to sleep and shower so didn’t eat or drink in bar/restaurant area but all looked nice and clean. Continental breakfast of an apple/banana and brioche plus tea/coffee facilities in room.

Not up to Hotels.com standard. I would avoid at all costs. The room was right next to an incredibly noisy pub. OK Tuesday is darts night but the barmaid told me they would be gone by 930 - no - it was 1130. The bed was cheap and uncomfortable and the 'breakfast' was a joke although in fairness they did pre-warn that. There was a sign asking pub users to respect hotel guests but it was not legible so demonstrated their (lack of) concern. Never again.

Great hospitality
This will be my 'go to' on future visits to the Oxford area. Perfectly located in a village accessed easily from the Oxford ring road. Plenty of off-road parking right outside the property itself. The accommodation was exactly as described, very clean and well-presented. Jason, the owner and manager, was a great host, with a good range of food and beverages conveniently available at his pub which made it so much more than the traditional B&B. This is more like a home from home. Thanks Jason.

So Quaint!
Had a great stay while visiting my daughter in oxford. Place is about a 10-15 minute ride outside of Oxford. Quaint place with a great pub. Great hospitality. Would stay here again when in the area

Room was poor, 'breakfast' was supposedly included - it consisted of an apple, banana and a cheap bun left in the room. Curtains didnt fit so not private - room was an exrension next to back entrance of pub so anyone walking past could see in when light was on. Cheap uncomfortable matress. No soap or shampoo. No tv remote. Pub food (dinner) was good but didnt make up for the crap room

Connected to the pub, so, convenient!
This is actually a hotel with an outside entrance to your room. The hotel is connected to the pub, with parking in the rear right outside your room. The room was nice, on the small side. I chose this hotel as it had a toilet and shower in the room, and it also said it was close to the city center. However it is about a 15 minute drive to the city center. I did have a good night, after hanging out in Oxford for the day, having a few pints at the Queens Head pub and conversing with the locals. The wifi wasn't the greatest in the room, and I didn't even hardly have mobile data reception. I would stay again for the price and room condition.
