Large room with a full size sofa and a King size bed .....Very spacious and clean.....Up to date with WiFi available Friendly staff........Will stay there again

Beautiful hotel with great observation deck

Pros: Location, observation deck, clean rooms. Quiet and peaceful.
Cons: Lobby could be improved. Breakfast included would be fantastic.
Location: Walking distance to the beach, to a few restaurants and stores, and to the Orange Blosson Bakery & Cafe, one of the attractions of the island.
This hotel has a great location. Staff is very friendly. The observation deck is a great feature that offers amazing views of the Hatteras island. The rooms are upgraded and very clean. Quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to the beach, to a few restaurants and stores, and to the Orange Blosson Bakery & Cafe, one of the attractions of the island.

Great Place to Stay on the Outer Banks

Pros: The air in the room was totally fresh with none of the antiseptic smell of cheap motels where they try to cover up musty or smoke odors.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of a grocery, a tackle shop and several restaurants. The beach was only about 400 yards.
We were there to fish at Cape Hatteras. The hotel was a comfortable base for our activities.

Convenient to the area services and beaches.

Property needs some updating and when I checked out the lady explained that they were planning to do a lot this winter. The carpet in my room was so badly worn and discolored I did not want to walk around barefooted. The refrigerator made such a loud noise I tried to unplug it, but couldn't find a way to get to the plug. And the AC/Heat did not seem to do either. I reported these issues on checkout and she said she appreciated my letting her know. Otherwise, the location was good and there were ample services nearby. Overall the property was fine.

Check in at midnight to a dirty room

Location: Restaurants and light house
Booked on Expedia. They charged me $163 for a room that was only $122. That was what the sheet atated that I had to sign. Expedia cost me $42 to book the room. Room was dirty when we went in, not cleaned or beds made up. It was a king room. We had to move to a room with 2 double beds, upstairs. Just really mad that Expedia ripped us off!!!!

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
We checked in a bit early. Was oversold on water view unless they were talking about the pool. There was so many flies in the first room we tried a second in case there was a body still in the room decomposing. The second room I brought to the same issue up but not quite so many flies. The manager offered a fly swatter. We whacked and killed about 8 flies before we decided we were done. Returned the flyswatter and left.
