Good hotel but poor location.
The Hotel is clean comfortable and the staff helpful. The Bar us only open for 4 hours in the evening. There is no restaurant and Bar food choice was very uninspiring. The Hotel is located in the outskirts of town with very limited choice of restaurants in the vicinity. The pool looked as if had been empty for a long while. It really seems to be targeting the commercial market not leisure travellers.

The single room was quite small, but it was comfortable and nicely appointed. The exterior pool is large and lovely - you can actually do laps; it's not just for cooling off. All staff very helpful and friendly, and lots of covered parking just outside.

The hotel only looks like a 4 star hotel from the outside. The room needs refurbishment as they look outdated. The staff service was very average and you don’t feel as if you’re very welcomed there. The price is good and the breakfast was quite nice. But I expect more due to its 4 stars rating

Nice accommodation, little tact
When we went for breakfast, we were told that since there was 20 minutes till they closed that all we could get was coffee and a sweet bread since he was picking up everything else!! It didn’t matter that we had pre paid it!!

The stay was ok. Hotel is a little old... a little below average for eurostars... Location was 10 min out of town. But the real problem was we I something at the hotel that was 100% essential to get. The staff responded quick but left me on my own to have it shipped to me, I even contacted corporate which hasn't even gotten back to me... which as I don't speak Spanish was quite the hassle... Hotels build loyalty on customer service, thats all I will say.

A/C did not work, new rooms were for smokers, no cafeteria open regularly and tennis court was more like Transilvania Tennis Court... And Expedia presented this as a 4 start hotel...

Great Hotel but not ideal location
The rooms and amenities were excellent. I enjoyed the pool and buffet. The hotel was not that close to town but has parking.

Quiet location
About 4 miles from town. Car needed. Very nice staff. Very good value hotel if advanced booking. Superb pool but closed for the season the day of our departure (sept 20). About 6 miles to the thermal spas (located on N120. The best one are the furthest one west of Ourense, under a bridge.

We had a room assignment in this hotel that warranted a change after the first night. Although advertised as available, the air conditioning had not been changed over for a warmer season -- since the window had to be opened to eliminate the warm stuffiness we had to listen to neighborhood dogs barking all night. There were no carpets on the floor so we also listened to high heels and closet doors overhead. Our concerns were heard, however, and without hesitation, the hotel moved us to a quieter, upgraded area of rooms the second day. Good thing because three tour buses arrived on scene and I am certain that two days lack of sleep would have had consequences in our temperament. The breakfast options included an express which was suitable for the cost and a higher cost buffet which did not have the variety warranting the cost, but it was all plentiful and decent tasting. The trip into the thermal mineral springs is well worth it although another test of driving patience when trying to locate!

Nice and quiet hotel close to Ourense
This is my second time in this hotel. I like it because it is nice, quite and close enough to the city, if you have a car. Staff is always polite and pending of your requirements. It needs to improve its fitness facility or not offering it since it does not count with the minimum.

Great if you have a car
My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel in June 2011. We found it to be a new, modern designed establishment with very helpful staff, some of whom could speak a little english. Our room was very nice and clean with eveything in it working. We had a very good and reasonably priced evening meal in the hotel restaurant. Surprisingly we were its only customers that evening. The only problem for us was we did not have a car and the hotel is situated up in the hills on the outskirts of Ourence. Well away from the old quarter, shops and tourist attractions. It is at the end of a bus route which ran fairly frequently, from a bus stop approx. one hundred yards from the hotel. The bus fares themselves being laughingly cheap. It did mean we had to use taxis a couple of times late in the evening, but these again were cheap by UK standards. If you have your own car this is an excellent place to stay in Ourence.

A Little Disappointed
The staff was very friendly and very helpful, but everything else was disappointing. However, I've never had to stay at a hotel in Europe so maybe my expectations were too high. The hotel's website said they had a tennis court. There was no net and the ground was in disrepair. I went to the pool a couple of times but didn't attempt going in because there was a dirty film floating on top. One reason I chose this hotel was because it said it had a gym. The gym was a joke. The sole treadmill didn't work. I stayed there for two weeks and could not work out. I also had to live out of my suitcase for two weeks because there wasn't anywhere to put my clothes other than those that could be hung. Immediately upon arriving I noticed our room did not have an iron so we requested one. We finally got one about three days later. Eventually, they removed it from my room without notice which I thought was rude. In addition, I couldn't even share a bed with my boyfriend. We had two twin beds pushed together. If we tried to sleep next to each other, one of us would fall into the crack. Lastly, I had read about a smoke-free policy which was important because I have asthma. Maybe our room was smoke-free but I smelled and inhaled smoke everywhere. Again, I realize this may be a European thing but then a smoke-free policy shouldn't be advertised. My stay was very uncomfortable and very disappointing. My only compliment is with regard to the staff. They were wonderful. They answered every question we had and helped us in any way they could. Even though this is extremely important to me, unfortunately it's not enough for me to want to stay at this hotel again.

Muy mala insonorizacion, tanto paredes como baños, se escucha todo, lo que no permite el sueño, a ciertas horas el riudo de la cadena del baño la ducha o la tv de alado arriba o cerca , poca variedad en lo referente al buffet solo habia huevos revueltos ambos dias. Mal iluminado para llegar y la entrada, no esta en ourense capital, sino bastante mas de 5km afuera del centro. Deberian repasar las juntas del baño con moho y negras no dan nada de buena imagen.

Comodo pero con falta de cafetería
El personal bien agradable, las habitaciones poco insonorizadas, se escuchaba tanto los de un lado como de otro y pasillo, los huéspedes de al lado con unos niños muy ruidosos, la cafetería estaba cerrada, por lo llegamos tarde al desayuno y no pudimos tomarnos ni un café a las 10 de la mañana, tuvimos que salir del hotel al pueblo, los cristales de la ventana sucios y no había llovido, no había gorro de ducha solo jabón gel champú y crema cuerpo, el baño bien pero comenzaba ya su deterioro de lavabo y bañera, la habitación con camas cómodas,pudimos disfrutar de la piscina y nos salió bien de precio al ser una oferta pero para 4 estrellas con su precio real no esta..
