Home away from home

We were greeted by the owners, a very friendly couple and their little dog, and shown to our garden cottage, which was lovely. Fully equipped, with direct access to the pool area. We received a bunch of information about the area, and felt at home immediately. We all had a great experience at Aloe House and we would highly recommend it!

A good place to stay.

A good place to stay when visiting Oudstoorn, located on the road out to local attractions. The are 3 excellent restaurants all within 3 mins walk.

Lovely people and a lot of character in the house

Greated by 2 friendly, lovely couple. Made to feel very comfortable. Recommended restaurants. 50's bar had lovely food but apart from menus not 50's deco but def worth a visit. Nice size town with plenty of shops. Must go to wildlife zoo and ostrich farm. Road can get a bit noisy early if ur a light sleeper but a great stay. Caves must do caves.

À ne pas manquer!

Une grande maison d'hôte avec cuisine équipée et BBQ. Terrasse agréable avec pleins d'oiseaux qui viennent boire dans la fontaine. Mon spectacle du matin! Acceuil plus que chaleureux! À ne pas manquer, prix imbattable.

Great place to stay in Oudtshoorn

We were met by Carl and his wife who showed us round the house. They are most welcoming and we're amazingly helpful throughout our stay - even gave us a lift to the meerkat adventures as we didn't have a car. The kitchen is well equipped with a big fridge. The pool is lovely and a very peaceful space. Out the back of the house there is a garden which includes a braai (BBQ) area. The house is close to the main town and within walking distance. We stayed in the double room which is big with ensuite bathroom with a superb shower!!

Superb value option in Oudtshoorn

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Perfectly situated, very friendly staff and manager, easy going and relaxed, bedrooms and common rooms were comfortable and well kept, and overall it was an excellent value (as a group of 4) compared to other options in Oudtshoorn city centre. In addition the manager proactively upgraded our booking suite after the initial online booking, to optimize our situation.
