Known as 'Hollywood of the desert,' this film hub invites you to explore Atlas Studios where blockbusters like Gladiator were filmed. Visit nearby Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified village where local guides reveal centuries of caravan history through its mud-brick kasbahs.
Ideal if you are visiting Ait Ben Haddou. Just a short 15 min walk to the centre of Ouzarzate. Staff exceptional and very friendly. Very good and spacious room but be warned you cannot put toilet paper down the toilet. Ample and safe parking space outside. Highly recommend

We had a lovely week at Bab El Janoub. Iatimad looked after us amazingly well and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment was well furnished, the kitchen well stocked with everything you'll need to cook a basic meal. The shops nearby had all the necessary items we needed from delicious fresh bread to fresh eggs. Would happily recommend bab el janoub to anyone looking for a budget friendly apartment while they explore ouarzazate.

We had only planned to stay one night but Dar Amoudou is an excellent choice. It can be a bit challenging to find it but it’s worth it. Ali, the owner is welcoming and goes out of his way to ensure your comfort. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Very comfortable with great effort to satisfy our specific dietary requirements and a lovely view from the balcony. We enjoyed seeing both the sunrise and sunset from our balcony.

Had a wonderful stay here - they were kind enough to collect me early in the morning after my flight was delayed.
The rooms are very spacious and well designed - I wish I could spend more time inside. The breakfast is a must - it’s definitely a great way to start the day

I stayed here 5 days and was smitten from the first moment. The decor may not be everyone's taste and may seem a little OTT but the rooms are of generous size, very comfortably furnished and the location is very quiet. The staff are discrete and very obliging, they serve excellent food more or less to your wishes. It is near the airport, in fact 15 minutes walking distance and on the edge of town. But it is only about 20 minutes to the main part of the centre. The small garden and swimming pool...

Very good auberge within walking distance to the big dune. Two types of eggs were served for breakfasts, and each room has a table outside with sockets for laptops. The hot water pressure was not affected by other guests. The hotel was also clean and a full load of laundry cost 40 dirham.
We can recommend for a two night stay.
We were given an upgrade.

Excellent very smart modern hotel in the centre of Ouarzazate with nicely kept grounds and a beautiful big swimming pool (not heated so a bit chilly in April). A nice choice of food with several restaurants. Good prompt room service for dining in room (handy when you arrive between meals). All the facilities you’d expect. Friendly staff. Very enjoyable stay.

We stayed for three nights in the hotel. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The garden and the pool areas were very beautiful and looked tidy.
The oldish gentleman who was at the reception in the evenings was perhaps, one of the most courteous, efficient and polite people we have met. He made us feel very welcome.
on the first day, we had our supper. The food was OK. We wouldn't say value for money.
However, as one of us is a strict vegetarian, there was not much choice. We ordered...

What an amazing hotel - it’s small, cozy, tastefully decorated, has a wonderful rooftop terrace for sunsets and stargazing. The staff working there are most friendly and helpful we encountered in our travels!

A purpose built hotel kasbah which has been constructed to make a beautiful calm and cool oasis in the desert! A really lovely place to stay, with a central courtyard featuring a peacock and peahen, tortoise, cats and dogs. A great welcome and really good food provided for both breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended.
