"The place was clean and very comfortable. The view of the beach is amazing. I enjoyed that they had puzzles and games to play, al thou some of the puzzles had several pieces missing. Overall it is a great place at an affordable price."

"Did not find front desk people friendly. They seemed put out when we called to see if we could check in an hour early and said they'd call if we could but never did. I don't mind being told no, I can understand a policy where they don't allow early check in but just let us know. When we went to the front desk to ask for more towels, the person behind the desk said, didn't your room have towels? They did, of course but then we showered and needed two more towels. (The rooms aren't serviced or automatically provided with towels unless requested.) Housekeeping did a good job with the room being clean but the curtains had something on them and the chairs in the room were dirty. Also, the bathroom was very small. On a side note, the beach is not an easy walk from the hotel. Obviously not the hotel's fault but for easy beach access, you can drive to 35th St or to Taft Waterfront Park."

"Great location overlooking the water, up high on a cliff - with a fire pit facing the ocean. A very kind & helpful general manager (excellent,in fact!) and a great night manager. Kudos to all the staff & a nice popular property for summertime along the coast of Oregon!"

"We stayed in a one bedroom king on the top floor. The bed was comfortable. The bedroom lighting was very dim and we had to use our phone flashlights to see properly in there. The main room was thoughtfully decorated and comfortable. My only gripe about it was a lack of dining table and chairs or really any solid surface to set things on so eating takeout and enjoying a beverage was really awkward - adding a dining area or even just a couple of TV trays would have made this an ideal stay. We really enjoyed our stay overall and we'll be back."

"Front staff were very kind and helpful. When my husband was having hard time using waffle maker, she ( sorry, didn't get her name) stepped in and showed him how to operate. Our room was third floor and it wasn't facing Hwy 101, so the noise was minimal. Room was larger than most of hotel we stayed at beach. We would like to stay again."

"What a cute place, and a great location with a private trail to the beach about a 5 minute walk. We really liked: Location, having a nice upstairs area for the teens, the cleanliness of the place, charming decor, location 5 minutes from Otter Rock and 10-15 from Newport, a nice grassy area with picnic tables, being close to a long sandy beach where you can watch the surfers and walk for miles if you want. It really is a unique property and they've done a lot with it! Sounds like the couch is going to be replaced soon too.We didn't like: The WiFi. It's passable if you sit right next to the window on the first floor, but non-existent in the rest of the house on both floors, meaning the router must be in another of the units.. If you have bad weather and are stuck inside, it'll likely be frustrating. Homeowner said they would send someone over to check it, but nothing improved. Thankfully, we had decent weather for the most part, although I heard plenty of complaining at night from the teens! LolA suggestion: It would be nice to have an option to get a towel refresh if you're staying 3 nights.Overall, the property is good and we enjoyed our stay! Be sure to keep an eye out for the local artist that sits on the north side of Yaquina Bay or Starbucks in Newport, weather depending. If you smile at him, he'll let you choose one of his gallery quality pictures for free in exchange for signing his book. Was the highlight of our trip."
