About this property

Cozy Oshkosh House with Piano

  • Summary:

This updated three-bedroom, two-bath family home sits in the quiet Stevens Park neighborhood, just 3 minutes from downtown and about 14 minutes from the EAA grounds.

Enjoy the enclosed front porch, large back deck and yard with a gas grill. Inside, you'll find a staircase with wrought iron accents, a new main-level bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, high-speed WiFi and a washer and dryer. With flexible self check-in, it's a great home base for families, AirVenture and Oshkosh getaways.

    The Space:

Quality, style and character blend with modern upgrades throughout this charming home.

Step in through the enclosed front porch, a cozy spot for morning coffee or a quiet evening. Inside, a staircase with wrought iron accents adds plenty of character. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas stove and everything you need to cook family meals, and a new main-level bathroom adds comfort and convenience.

High-speed WiFi makes it easy to stream or work remotely, and the washer and dryer come in handy for longer stays.

Out back, the large deck and yard with a gas grill are perfect for cookouts and relaxing outside.

    Guest Access:

The entire home is yours during your stay, including the enclosed front porch, kitchen, living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry, back deck and yard.

This is a self-check-in property, so you can come and go as you please. Your check-in instructions and personal entry code will come through Breezeway before you arrive.

Please make yourself at home, and respect any locked doors, storage areas or spaces marked private.

    The Neighborhood:

The home sits in the quiet, established Stevens Park neighborhood, known for its historic homes on the stretch of land between the Fox River and Lake Winnebago. Stevens Park, with its playground and community garden, is just a block away.

You're also close to some of Oshkosh's favorite spots. The Leach Amphitheater hosts summer concerts where the river meets the lake, and the Riverwalk is great for an easy stroll along the water. The neighborhood is also home to some of the city's classic taverns, including Jerry's Bar, a local staple since 1883.

Downtown Oshkosh is only about 3 minutes away. Grab coffee at New Moon Cafe or Elsewhere Market & Coffee House, enjoy Italian food and wood-fired pizza at Truffle Pig, or catch a show at the historic Grand Oshkosh. On Saturday mornings from late spring through October, the Oshkosh Farmers Market fills North Main Street.

    Getting Around:

Uber and Lyft are available for trips around Oshkosh and the Fox Valley. It can take longer to get a ride late at night, during AirVenture or in winter weather, so we suggest booking a little early.

The city is easy to get around by car, and downtown, the EAA grounds and the lakefront are all a short drive away. Your parking details will be in your Breezeway guidebook.

    Other Things to Note:

The home is in a quiet residential neighborhood, so please be considerate of the neighbors, especially on the deck and porch and after 10:00 PM.

The home has a staircase, so guests should be comfortable using stairs.

Please use the gas grill with care. Never leave it unattended, and let it cool completely after use.

Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the home. If we find signs of smoking or vaping, a $250 fine will be charged. Parties and events are also not allowed.

Staff Training Retreat

We reserved this property to host ministry interns who were on a training retreat in Oshkosh. The property was immaculately clean and very comfortable for our weeklong stay. We especially appreciated the welcoming host and spacious rooms.

What a beautiful home! We traveled to Osh Kosh to tour UWO and found this gem of a place to stay at! The neighbors were extremely nice as was the community. Very quiet neighborhood. The home had everything we needed and more! The host was wonderful in checking in with us throughout our stay, making sure we had all that we needed :)

3 star overall

The house was great. The biggest issue I had was with the Check-In process. I contacted the owner 2 days prior to arriving. 1st, I had 3 people cancel on me at the last minute and I asked for a refund. I get it if I couldn't, but no response. After I was honest shortly after I booked when I had to add 1 more person staying. 2nd, a couple days prior to arriving, I asked to check in early. They said there was options and they would add an extra hour. They didn't tell me it was $75. 3rd, After telling me I can get in early, I had to ask them to send me the housecode when I arrived early. I have rented a lot of houses in the past. This is the first house I had to pay to check-in early. Communication on that payment would have been appreciated as I had a tight window as I got into town. The check in and out policies could use some fine tuning. It's very inconvenient to have to wash and put away your used dishes. We also washed the previous guests dishes they left dirty.

Poor customer service. Property had many issues.

This host was listed as a 5 star host, but was anything but that. We had rented this property two months in advance, and the day before we were to arrive from out of state, I was texted that they had to move us due to the property "being trashed" by the earlier tenant. They had 4 days to warn us, but did not until the day before. Our group of 5 people plus two dogs was moved into a dirty one bathroom house in a different part of town. We were told it was that or a refund. It was Thanksgiving week, so there was little else we could do on one day's notice. I assumed we would be given the credit since there was over $90 difference per night for the new property, but we were not. He offered us $50 per night or nothing. The property itself was dirty inside, particularly the floor. The doors did not latch, so the bathroom door would pop open when you were in there using it. One bedroom had a double bed in it that made it so tight you could barely walk along either side of the bed. The twin bed is a glorified cot. The yard has tall brown weeds. There is no light at the back door, which is the only entrance. The sound on the TV did not work. The seating in both living and dining areas was for 4 people, though the house claims to host at least 5. The inside staircase is incredibly steep and the steps themselves very narrow. It is an accident waiting to happen. I would strongly discourage VRBO renters from working with Mark Biesack and Powerhouse Properties.
