"We just returned from a two-night Mother’s Day staycation at El Conquistador, and it reminded us why this place continues to hold such a special place in our hearts. We’re Tucson locals, and over the years El Conquistador has become more than just a hotel to our family, it’s part of our story. We had our wedding here, and years later celebrated our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary here as well. Every visit brings back incredible memories. What we love most is the atmosphere. There’s such a warm, welcoming family vibe throughout the property. It feels relaxed, beautiful, and genuinely enjoyable without being overly flashy or pretentious. It’s one of those rare resorts where you can truly unwind and just enjoy being together. The staff during this stay were especially kind and wonderful. From check-in to the restaurants to the pool areas, everyone treated us with warmth and care. You can tell the team genuinely wants guests to have a great experience. We also continue to appreciate that things feel reasonably priced compared to many resorts. It makes it possible to relax and enjoy the amenities, food, and activities without constantly feeling like everything is overpriced. Thank you, El Conquistador, for continuing to be a place where families can celebrate milestones, reconnect, and create lifelong memories. We’ll absolutely be back again. P.S. "I have booked many VRBO properties prior to this stay. So my experiences are based on those expectations. Members of my party only experienced a zVRBO rental for the first time . Based on both of these here are some concerns/ ideas:- All my experiences with rental properties have provided a “notebook” with specific directions for almost everything. How to work tv, remotes etc. Specific directions for the different amenities, trash , pool use. ( no directions for access until I communicated with property mamagers) laundry. (Nothing was provided in the house. Some things were communicated only by email! - Locks/doors very difficult to operate. Codes sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t. Instructions said to pull door or press any key in order to work??!!!!- Upon arrival at the precise sign in time Maintenance was still working and house was open. He had no idea that we were set to arrive. Very awkward. - No instructions were given for pool access. I had to get “that” info. - TVs did not work or were not hooked up especially in the bedrooms. Again no instructions for operating. - Lamps in bedrooms missing lightbulbs! Hallway light didn’t work. All in all we had a good stay. Accommodations were good. Bedding was comfortable. The above concerns are meant to help improve for future stays. Thank you. "

"We absolutely loved our time here. The house was perfect for our girls trip and Melinda was so accommodating and helpful for all of our requests. I highly recommend this home!! We loved both the indoor and outdoor space. My only tiny complaint was the pool was quite dirty (tons of bugs/leaves/dirt) which I do understand with an outdoor pool but the pool maintenance were scheduled to come during our stay and it made no difference. But again, this was the most minor complaint. Would absolutely stay here again!!"
