The beautiful gated Solterra Resort is located within 15 to 30 minutes of the many Orlando theme parks, golf courses and airport. This spacious, professionally decorated, quality furnished 3300 square foot, single story, 5 bedroom, 4 full bathroom, pool home is the perfect place to relax between your various vacation outings. Entering your modern vacation home you immediately feel the 12 foot high ceilings, 8 foot tall doors, all tile floors, and the open, light, floor plan design with views the Great room, Dining room, kitchen area, your private pool with a peaceful conservation/nature area view. INDOOR SOCIAL AREAS: Inside the home there are three social areas. The Great room, the Retreat and the Game room. The Great Room has new quality furnishings including a 75 inch Sony TV,, Vizio sound bar DOWN FILLED sectional sofa and accent chair. All are very comfortable. The Retreat is adjacent to the kitchen and is a second living room. It is also quality furnished sectional sofa, 65" flat screen TV, Blu Ray player, and XBOX 360\. The Retreat is the perfect place for reading, relaxing or for the kids to enjoy! The Game Room is air conditioned with Air Hockey, Foosball table, Ping Pong table, Vizio sound bar and a 45" TV with a Play Station 3. Wonderful home, great location and Tom is an excellent host. Everything provided in the house was in pristine condition and very clean. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The pictures don't do the home justice though :) The house is bright and cheerful and the surroundings are beautiful. The pool is to die for and the Solterra Resort is great. Our stay was PERFECT!! We loved the layout of the house. There was a big common area with the kitchen and living room. There was plenty of privacy when the group wanted to break up. The pool area was excellent. Everything is on the same level, which makes accessibility great for older and younger members of the family. The home furnishings were both modern and comfortable. Our family stayed in this home during the last week of August. Everything about this home was wonderful. It is exactly as pictured!!! Modern and clean decor. Kitchen was nicely stocked with glasses, dishes, serving bowls, storage containers, and pots and pans. Beds, pillows, and couches were super comfy. We absolutely loved the lanai area...so many different seating options! Also, the association pool and lazy river were terrific; a nice bonus to the stay. Our family visited Universal during two days of our stay. The drive was typically 30 minutes. Would definitely suggest this stay to anyone traveling to the Orlando area. ##### Dorothy T. The house was beautifully decorated, the furnishings and beds were comfortable versus some places where everything is for looks. We enjoyed every aspect of the home. My only suggestion for change is as a resort in general. It would be a lot easier to enter the resort with a preset code versus using the speaker system and DL. While I understand the need for it, one evening, we sat for 30 minutes trying to get back into the resort because of the inefficient way managment company has chosen to let people enter the resort. That particular evening, a police officer finally showed up because cars were blocking the main road and he opened the gate and just motioned in the 20+ cars waiting in line thereby bypassing management company security. ##### Wendi B. The accommodation is great - very spacious and we especially liked that there were two master suites. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were amazing ! The games room in the garage was a real bonus as was the xbox, numerous tvs and free wi-fi which kept the kids entertained when we weren't swimming or out sightseeing. We loved the pool at the house but also used the pool at the communal area a lot too - my daughter really liked the slide !. The communal area was very clean and well maintained and had nice touches like the free coffee in the clubhouse and gazebos for shade. The gym was well equipped and we used this most days - the tennis courts looked good but it was too hot ! The home is well positioned for the attractions of Disney - all are very close by and there are large supermarkets within 5 minutes drive. Overall, the best holiday we have had in years and the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. Will be recommending to all my friends... While you get a sense of that with the pics, it is even more beautiful in person! The whole experience was great, from check-in to check-out. The house was more than enough for the four of us which meant there was plenty of space for folks to relax and spread out when they wanted. The house looks brand new it’s in such excellent condition and it had everything we needed or would want: plenty of pool and bath towels; three different coffee makers and other updated appliances; pots/pans; washer/dryer; etc. One of the main reasons I chose this house over others in the resort was the size of the pool. Other houses have tiny pools, almost the size of a jacuzzi, however Tom’s pool was the perfect size for us, plus there was so much room on the enclosed patio to grill, enjoy meals and bask in the sun. We enjoyed the personal pool so much that we didn’t even visit the clubhouse. Next time. There are restaurants, grocery stores, etc. within a quick 5-10min drive which was nice and Universal was about 30-40min away. Overall, we had a wonderful time and I would absolutely rent this place again! I highly recommend this place! ##### Tara J. If you travel by car and able to bring all necessary items like toilet paper, Kleenex, laundry detergent, aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, napkins, paper towels, dishwashing pods, briquettes, lighter fluid, propane etc. . . DON’T FORGET THESE ITEMS. On the other hand if you travel 5+ hours on a plane and you inquire about having someone drop these off you are told “ you can just go to the store and BUY THESE ITEMS”!! Are you kidding me? Never have I ever had to purchase any of these items at any other VRBO. If you plan to use the barbecue you would have to clean it before you can use it! DISGUSTING! Also, plan to “sweat” as there were modifications on the air conditioning unit which didn’t allow us to adjust to our liking. It was a stuffy sweat box. ##### Lori T. Family of 4, take the same trip each year so we have a good idea of what's typical. The house itself is nice, beds are comfortable etc. Paid for pool heat in advance, after Mgmt confirmed by email that pool heat was activated (it was obvious that it wasn't), their own pool tech confirmed it wasn't turned on. They ultimately credited us for those days of pool heat, but not without a unpleasant phone call, being deceptive about it by email and the kids not being able to enjoy the pool for half the trip. When they decided to actually turn it on after we called them out on it, the heat worked fine, so no bogus answers about cold weather etc. A squirrel or some other animal took up residence just above the bedroom cieling and made a racket all night. Management sent a pest control company out, once he gave an estimate to them by phone, he mysteriously had to go get a ladder or something and we never saw him again. Fine, we dealt with it. When it got cold at night, the thermostat is set to revert the heat back to a much colder temp in middle of the night. Good luck figuring out how to reprogram it. Nasty sign from Management in the laundry room that they have counted each towel and will charge you $25.00 per towel for any towel that they claim is missing. Those must be some designer towels, lol. Thankfully we weren't accused of taking any. Be aware that the trash container in front of the house is only big enough for two small kitchen size trash bags. Anything more and they expect you to find a large trash container somewhere behind the clubhouse or they can charge you a penalty. Our last house in the same complex was proud to have trash valet service. I guess here they want to turn it into a money making opportunity. After all this they refused a request for a late check out (even 1 hour would be helpful when you are trying to leave with small children) but they said another guest was checking in,... ok but not until 4PM, right?. Pushy cleaning person was ringing the bell repeatedly before 10 AM trying to get access. We left 20 minutes after the official check out time and found a sweet parting gift of an extra charge on our credit card for that and supposedly excess garbage. I guess the $175.00 cleaning fee isn't enough to compensate them for cleaning the house between guests? Our experience, yours may differ. ##### Stanley K. We chose the location so that we would be close to universal studios. The home is very nice. It’s very spacious and had all the amenities we needed, including a full supply of kitchen needs (pans, utensils, etc.).
