This bright and beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom pool and spa home is great for a large family or multiple families vacationing together. Sleeps up to 8 comfortably. Highgate Park is a very popular, well maintained and securly gated community located just off Highway 27 in the Disney Vacation Area. Dining Areas and Kitchen When you open the door, you’ll find the kitchen and dining spaces just past the entryway. The large kitchen features a serving bar - just what you need for entertaining and easy serving. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a quick meal or large family meals! The formal dining room seats six and is conveniently located just off the kitchen and bar top. The pool in this home can be heated on request and for an additional charge - this is recommended during winter, early spring and during cooler weeks in Summer. This includes spa heating to turn the bubbles into a steaming hot tub. The pool in this home can be heated on request and is an optional extra. It can be heated for a minimum of 5 consecutive days ($200 plus tax) and the cost for heat is $40 for each night plus tax. If during the course of your stay, you decide to purchase pool heat, then there is an additional charge to cover the cost of sending out a technician to activate the system which is $40. Where pool heat is booked within 24 of booking and at least 24 hours prior to arrival, there will be no activation fee. Where booked later than this or closer to arrival, an activation fee may apply. Living Room The living room features a large sectional couch, Large Smart TV. You will also find large window off the living room looking out to your private pool and spa area. Bedrooms There are 4 bedrooms all on one level. Bedroom 1 - Queen bed, en-suite bathroom, private TV. Sleeps 2\. Bedroom 2 - Master with King bed, en-suite bathroom, private TV (pool access). The communication with the property manager made it easy for them to rectify those issues in a timely manner. We did lose out several days with the hot tub not working. A technician was sent out to mitigate the problem but this was midway through our stay. The house overall had a nice layout and gave us more than enough room for everyone. We asked for the heated pool/spa feature two weeks prior to booking, but still had to pay 40 additional for a technician to come turn it on the same day of our trip’s start. After having it turned on, the pool wasn’t hot a single time during our stay. We notified management after the first day, they told us that the pool heats up if the spa isn’t on. We tried this for 24 hours, the pool’s temperature didn’t increase and the spa wouldn’t get hot after this. At no point during a 5 day stay was the pool warmed. I’m fully aware that heated pools aren’t as hot as a spa, but the pool was extremely cold. I think there is something wrong with the pool that they haven’t resolved. I’d hope we weren’t charged for a heated pool knowing it wasn’t feasible. ##### James E. If you turn it on about an hour before using, it’ll get much warmer but not as hot as a typical hot tub. The beds were adequate but lacked comfort. The clothes dryer required 2-3 cycles to dry a normal load of laundry.Our biggest issue with our stay was the air conditioning. We’d leave for the day usually around 10:30am and return between 6-8pm from long days at the parks in high 90’s temperatures. The first 3 days we arrived back the house temp was at 83 degrees exactly and the thermostat would change to 70 degrees automatically and then say it was cooling over 2-3 hours. I notified the management and expressed my concerns because of the discomfort of the high temps in the house. At first they were accommodating, giving advice and tips to keep it cooler in the house. The 2nd time they sent a tech out who showed up first thing in the morning when the house was still at cooler temps. He found nothing wrong and said he’d return “later”. That evening (3rd evening) when we arrived back and the temp was AGAIN 83 exactly, I messaged management implying that I knew the temps were being controlled elsewhere and they never responded. My husband figured out how to turn off the auto thermostat changes, which I believe was motion activated on the thermostat, and we had no further problem with the hot temps in the house. The house was otherwise nicely decorated and could have been pleasant had it not been for the issues I’ve listed. ##### Elizabeth H. Things were as stated. We loved having the pool and hot tub right there. Our biggest complaint was that the toilet in the master bedroom didn't work even after calling to have it fixed and the blinds in the bathrooms were broken so that the windows weren't covered fully. Stayed 11 nights in Apr 2022 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Kayla S. 6 Apr 2022 Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy #### Rental to avoid The place was roasting hot the entire stay, I reached out to the host who told me that if the temp was consistent then the ac must be working but it never got below 74 in the house. Most nights it was 78\. She also informed me if any windows or doors were opened the AC automatically shuts off. The beds are old and broken down. They are extremely uncomfortable. Most of the curtains are missing panels which means no privacy… even in the bathrooms! The window is directly next to the bathtub and just feet from the neighbors windows. A Pool guy showed up in the middle of our stay and let himself in like we weren’t even here. We were never notified he would be coming.
