We didn’t realize they were remodeling the exterior and while the building would have looked better, they did a great job of limiting its impact on the property.
Besides that the resort was in tip top shape and we loved the location being central to a number of different things.

Everything here was great until checking out and there is a destination fee and upsell fee of $14 adding to the room. We got one night stay room upgraded from king bed to double beds for $25. The hotel area is much safer than other areas in Oakland and the shopping mall is across the street.
