This property was perfect for our family. We were able to entertain our friends who were staying close by and cook meals for our family in this secluded location. Plus the views are spectacular.
Lovely quiet stay right on the marina. House was clean and well appointed. Only complaint might be the quality of the king bed which really needs to be replaced and is nearly impossible to sleep in comfortably. Other than that, we enjoyed the week.
Our stay was fantastic! Beautiful house just as advertised right on the marina. (The cooktp is getting a littlen ong in the tooth) Neighborhood was great. Orientaln is a little remote, so prepare to unplug. Day trips to New Bern and Beaufort for shopping and dining made the stay complete.
This is a beautiful property in a gorgeous location with lovely amenities. Very comfortable furniture, lovely screened porch overlooking the marina. We loved the community and access to all of the amenities. Great place for a get a way and fun vacation.

Beautiful home on the water
The home itself was lovely - very clean, incredible views, and great amenities. Food options are limited and the location is pretty remote so recommend stocking up on food on the way.
We had a wonderful stay at Sunnyside 6 and River Dunes! The house was perfect for our family of 4. Spent lots of time in the screened in porch looking out on the marina. River Dunes was lovely and we took full advantage of the opportunity to fish off of the dock, kayak, paddle board, ride bikes, swim and play tennis (all available at no charge)! If you have a family that enjoys the outdoors this is a perfect spot and the house was terrific!

Beautiful home in a wonderful community!
Even though it rained the entire trip, we genuinely enjoyed both the beautiful home and the warm community of Oriental. Julie made the perfect impression by greeting us with the fire burning in the fireplace and Christmas music playing in the background. All of our party appreciated the private baths for every bedroom making it a personal retreat for each couple. The home is simply lovely and I can just imagine how wonderful it is in the summer! I would highly recommend this property to others looking for an upscale escape with friends or family.

River Dunes
Dishes were put away dirty, master bed was broke no pot holders or broom. Agent was extremely responsive. Need to do a better job preparing property, however the agent gets 5 stars for being responsive
This was a nice place to relax, quiet and peaceful but still plenty to do with fishing, kayaking, paddle boards and the pool. Lovely porches for meals and for reading. The house was very comfortable with a nice view, and we enjoyed the great variety of birds and the starry nights!
The house was great - clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and equipped, terrific views. We enjoyed the River Dunes swimming pool, kayaks and other amenities. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.
River Dunes was just what we needed as a family to relax and reconnect! The location of the house was amazing! We spent a lot of time “camped out” on the top porch overlooking the marina! We also enjoyed bike rides through the neighborhood, paddle boarding and kayaking. The area was so serene! If remote is not your thing, then River Dunes may not be for you, but for our outdoor loving family, it was perfect!!! We will definitely be back! Great memories were made!
My family and I enjoyed a beautiful and comfortable weekend stay here. The house is beautiful, the location gorgeous and the community amenities are great.
Although the weather was nice it was still a little too cold to enjoy the amenties this property offers (pool, kayaks, paddle boards , etc..)
Due to Co-vid the fitness center was only open to residents and not rental guests staying in River Dunes which was disappointing.
Dinner at the Harbor Club was wonderful and the staff were very welcoming and attentive.
This home overlooks the marina and we enjoyed having coffee on the screened in porch, watching the boats and listening to the wind chimes. Very relaxing.
The home itself is beautifully designed with soaring ceilings, 2 gas fireplaces, 3 bedrooms and 31/2 baths and tons of natural light. More than we needed but It would be great for a family or 3 couples. There were a few areas that could use a little TLC (furniture on the lower screened in porch, door knobs and some areas in the bathrooms ) but they are minor fixes and certainly not enough to deter us from renting again. Would love to try this place again in warmer weather!
Really enjoyed our stay at River Dunes. The community is beautiful, and this property is right on the harbor, with a wonderful view of the sailboats docked at the marina. Porches front and back made for wonderful outdoor space. River Dunes pool was great, staff at RD were wonderful, and there were s'mores and fireworks on July 4. Regarding the property, my only two minor complaints are that the ice maker in the freezer did not work, and the wi-fi stopped working on our second day. This wouldn't be much of a problem, except this house (and most of river dunes) is in a dead zone for cell coverage, so we were completely disconnected when at the house. In addition, there was no landline. There should really be a landline provided in the home, and the listing should indicate that there is no cell-service. Otherwise, totally wonderful property and stay. A word of advice, plan to bring/buy groceries and do most of your eating in the home. River Dunes has a cafe that is open for breakfast and lunch, but it is not 7 days a week. The pool bar is only open Thurs-Sun. The harbor club serves a seated dinner several nights a week, but that is your only dinner option in the community. Dining options in the town of Oriental (10ish minute drive) are extremely limited, and are crowded during the summer.
