Beautiful hotel. The downstairs and restaurant are lovely. However, our room was not a great standard. The shower needed replacing and the whole room renovating. We paid for a sea view. I don’t count a small glimpse through a gap past a house and trees a sea view. For less Monty it would have been great, but not at these prices. The location of course was great.

Great location with excellent staff. Breakfast was good. Lots of things to see within walking distance. Great restaurants close by. No a/c but they put fans in each room.

The property is beautiful and in a very nice location to several Normandy area sites. The staff was kind but not as well informed as a concierge and since they didn’t have one, it seemed to us that this should be remedied. For example we wanted to know about the distillery closest to the hotel and they could not tell us anything even though their products were available for purchase from them. It wasn’t a big thing but a miss that seems pretty easy to address. We would happily stay their again-especially for the reasonable pricing we were charged for this period.

We could not do the visit due to a family emergency and needed to move the dates of our stay.. We had been scheduled to stay in one of the junior suites and were excited and looking forward to our trip. When approached regarding moving our stay the hotel staff were blunt, unhelpful and refused to even consider moving our visit to another date over the summer. Clearly this is a luxury hotel without any soul, pride or sense of retaining it’s reputation.. This is the poorest treatment we have had in 30 years of staying in luxury hotels all around the world! Stay somewhere else! Over EUR2,000 fleeced from us…..
