Welcome to the Mandarin @ Main Place in the City of Orange! Mandarins originated in India before traveling across China where they picked up the name “mandarin”, representing a symbol of good luck. Since at least the Qing dynasty, Chinese parents would place mandarin oranges beside the pillows of their children, along with red envelopes containing money under the pillow to ward off folkloric monsters. The children would then eat the fruits upon waking up the next morning. The Mandarin is walkable to restaurants and entertainment and just a 10-minute drive to Disneyland, Old Town Orange, and Angel Stadium. It is close to beaches, John Wayne airport, and the Irvine Spectrum. PETS: We are happy to announce our Happy Paws Community Program to help local animal shelters re-home and save the lives of animals. We donate 25% of pet fees to a local shelter/animal rescue. We are also launching our Happy Paws promotion for pet parents who help us get the word out about the program. To participate, follow the wick and easy steps in the guidebook under “Pet Parents” to post a picture of you and your furry family member. The picture must be posted before check-out and make sure to tag us. The refund will be provided back to you within 5 days of check-out.
