It has a living room with fireplace, a large distributor, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, two doubles and one with two single beds and a double sofa bed, all with separate bathrooms. They are 140 square meters of stay and more than a thousand meters of garden. In the upper part and independent of the rest of the house we live the owners. Batet de la Serra is one of the most beautiful places in the Natural Park because it combines forests, pastures and some isolated farmhouses with huts and dry-walled walls of volcanic rock. In this place of multiple legends is where the first volcanoes originated, now only witnessed by different lava flows, already cooled and superimposed one on top of the other, which make up a soft relief. Batet de la Serra is a town and former municipality of La Garrotxa that in 1971 was annexed to the municipality of Olot. It is located in the so-called high plateau of Batet and the population is scattered. My (adult) children said this was their favorite location. You should have heard them gasp as we drove the road! We had plenty of space to stretch out, and we watched the Olympics from the TV. Wifi was fine but did not test for Zoom or anything. There was a heat wave when we visited, and farmhouse has no AC. But the owner gave us a couple fans, and that made a huge difference. (I wish they would just put a fan in each bedroom, but this part of Spain doesn't use fans as much as we do in California.) The two dogs are so sweet! One of them went on a long walk with us and guided as home. ACTIVITY SUGGESTION: this place is only 7 minutes from Vol De Coloms balloon rides. We did that, and it was AMAZING. Highly recommended. We got to view the surrounding countryside (and even this farmhouse) from the balloon. My family loved it! We had a great stay, and I think this place would be great for a longer stay too. It is peaceful and serene, and the views are stunning. ##### Everett O. The main house sits together with a gorgeous church and rectory. Surrounded by stunning mountain views and active farms, you will be delighted by the sounds of cow bells, birds and the wind. La casa es preciosa, insitu todavía es más bonita que las fotos. El paisaje des del alojamiento es brutal, Garrotxa en estado puro. Todas las estancias tienen todo lo que un necesita. Mariona, la anfitriona y toda su familia son encantadores, estuvieron super atentos. Una especial mención es para la terraza/jardín con vistas a la Alta Garrotxa no tiene precio. Volveremos seguro! Fuimos dos parejas con pequeños de 1 y dos años y la casa es perfecta. En la entrada hay un recibidor enorme estupendo para los niños; además aunque nosotros llevamos juguetes hay un armario llena de cositas para entretener a los peques. Muy espaciosa y muy bien distribuida y en una sola planta, las habitaciones muy grandes y decoradas con mucho gusto. Un punto a su favor muy importante es que cada habitación tiene su baño completo. El espacio exterior no tiene precio… precioso. Es un sitio estupendo y muy muy recomendable en el que desde luego nosotros esperamos volver a la llegada de nuestro pequeño Pau! Muchas gracias a Mariona y a su familia, que en todo momento estuvisteis pendientes también del pequeño que se nos puso malo! y por esos riquísimos huevos que nos dejaron recién cogidos :) Un abrazo!
