Wonderful house Built To Excellent Standards in the heart of Olhao.
During its tasteful renovation project in 2003, Casa Da Esquinha was transformed into a modern 'upside down house'. The en-suite air conditioned bedroom is located on the ground floor, keeping it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The open plan living room and kitchen are on the first floor with convenient large french style windows opening onto the sun drenched terrace with BBQ and outside dining. This south facing property benefits from the abundant Algarve sunshine all year round. The upper roof terrace is an added bonus and a great place to sip a glass of wine or a beer and top up your tan! Wi Fi is provided at no extra cost! I recommend bringing a tablet or large phone to enable you to watch all your favourite channels. All the attractions that entice holiday makers to Olhao are on the door step. The sea is about 100 metres away as are the famous markets. The restaurants, coffee shops and bars are literally just around the corner, in fact, as everything is so convenient, you may decide that you do not need a car. Free parking is limited, especially in busy times. However, there is plentiful paid for parking spaces and you might find a nearby street to park free of charge in quieter times. Please note, like the vast majority of Olhao townhouses, the stairs are narrow and steep, though not plentiful. Although acceptable to most people, please consider this if you have any fitness or injury concerns.

Everything was great, easy location to get to and using keypad to get in, all went easily enough. The house had everything that you would need, location is excellent too. Communication with Neil was straightforward and he was extremely helpful. If we ever return, which we might we would definitely stay again. Olhao is a beautiful place.
Excellent location to enjoy Olhao, close to the best bars, restaurants, markets and the ferry to the islands. Good sized bedroom with quiet, effective air con. Both terraces are south facing so get a lot of sun! The stairs are steep and narrow but take your time and use the handrail and you'll be fine!
This property is excellently located close to Olhao's centre and is a good place from which to explore other spots in the Algarve, along the train line. The property is small but just enough space for 1 or two people, and the roof terrace and balcony are lovely spaces for enjoying the morning and evening sunshine. Communication with the owner/ manager about the property was efficient and very pleasant.

100m from municipal market (awesome place for fish, meat and vegetables), a beautiful building, and 300m from ferry to Armona, Culatra and Farol islands, great beaches. ONLY downside is the lack of AC on top floor.
We had a lovely stay in this quaint townhouse last week. It has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. It’s so close to the restaurants, bars, waterfront and ferries to the beautiful islands.
The communication with the owner prior to travelling was prompt and very helpful and we had no issues during our stay.

Neil's place is is easy to find, centrally located, has all the facilities you would need. We particularly like Olhao, the terrace off the kitchen/lounge was particularly pleasant for an early morning coffee. The roof terrace ideal for relaxing.
The only challenge is the stairs that could prove difficult for someone less able.
This is our 4th time staying in this property. Very clean and suitable for 2 people to have a comfortable stay. Small patio on 2nd floor and a wondeful roof top terrace that gets the sun all day. Situated in a quite cobbled street only minutes away from the sea front and amazing restaurants. Less than 10 min stroll gets you to the train/bus station should you want to visit other towns and to the boat that can take you to a few islands. We will be back .
Perfect location in the heart of restaurants, cafes and shops, just a few steps from the sea front. Excellent and thorough communication with vendor, supported by a manager. A few tips for cleaning: floor needs a good mop and once in a while a deep clean ie shower, all surfaces. Very dusty and sandy floor but very nice historic building.
I recently stayed in this lovely home in the historical center of Olhão, and it was a great experience. The apartment was nicely decorated, with traditional Portuguese style, making it feel very cozy.
The location was perfect—just a short walk to the waterfront, local markets, and some amazing restaurants. I enjoyed wandering the narrow streets filled with colorful buildings and finding hidden gems.
The host was very welcoming and They were easy to communicate with and always ready to help.
Overall, this rental was comfortable, convenient, and charming. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to explore Olhão!
This upside down house is full of charm tucked right in the centre of Olhao with a 2 min walk to the waterfront, cafés, 2 markets and bars. 5 min walk to the ferry to go to the lovely Armona for a few euros. The house was spotlessly clean, lovely balcony and the kitchen was perfectly adequate to cook our fresh produce from the market. The owner of the property was great at keeping in touch, gave easy directions and how to use the key safe. We loved our stay here and would love to come here again.

Convenient situation in Olhao
The house is easy to locate and access is straightforward although in a pedestrian only street. It is near lots of restaurants and the market, a supermarket is 5 min walk away, yet it is also quiet at night. Also near the ferries for visiting the islands. The property is old and charming though that brings its challenges (stairs and light)/airflow, fixtures and fittings could benefit from upgrading.
This was our second time staying at this lovely little house. It is right in the centre of everything, 2 min walk to all the bars, market and waterfront. Yes, its small but perfect for our needs. Some reviews have mentioned the steep, narrow stairs. Yes, they are that but as long as you have 2 working legs you're fine. We loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings listening to birdsong and drinking coffee. We have arrived home completely relaxed and if we decide to have another relaxing week in Olhaò, we won't be looking for anywhere else to stay, this home is just perfect XXX
This lovely renovated fisherman's house is absolutely perfect for a winter stay.With the balcony off the lounge and the rooftop terrace you are guaranteed sun all day.We stayed for the winter so were very happy. The location is brilliant, everything is on your doorstep, including a 3 minute walk to Pingo Doce, the nearest supermarket. If you are any way infirm you need to speak with Neil before booking as the stairs are quite narrow and steep, my husband is 70 and had no problem. We had plenty of hot water when showering and the WiFi was excellent for streaming the tv. The equipment was great, but, if you intend cooking a lot, be aware there is no oven. We made do with the microwave and hob and obviously there are some fantastic restaurants to eat out at or for deliveries. We would definitely stay again.

The house is not for everyone.
Good location.good kitchen/livingroom.
Bedroom damp on arrival,still.damp on departure.stair cases were mentioned as being steep and narrow.until you have to use them you realise that they are very difficult to climb on all 3 levels.all outside balconies had flakey paintwork which could have been easily and cheaply done before our arrival.no handrail on the top staircase to the roof terrace a small folding table and chairs on the roof terracewould improve the area,you have nowhere to sit on the roof terrace only sunbeds.if you have any mobility problems i would not recomend this house.
