We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in an excellent location in a quiet area but also near the train station and the town. The hosts Cláudia and Luis have put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with freshly baked bread, homemade jam and good quality coffee. We were treated to fresh fruit and different cakes from the local bakery every day. Luis gave us lots of useful information for days out . It was lovely to have such a warm welcome. We can recommend the restaurant next to the station ‘Petiscais’for an evening meal. This is well worth a visit.

We stayed three nights at Roaz de Bandeira House. It was very close to the train station and only a 15 minute walk to the waterfront and ferry to the nearby islands with beaches. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us a wonderful orientation to the area. Breakfast each day was delicious and very generous.

I was given detailed instructions on how to get to the ferry boats to Culatra and other places of interest, when I arrived, which I really appreciated. I had a delicious breakfast every morning with freshly pressed orange juice. The homemade jams were perfect. I loved the nautical décor in my room. There are plenty of thoughtful guest facilities and I enjoyed having breakfast in the outdoor space.

Sehr sauber, sehr ruhig. Gastgeber sind nett und aufmerksam,aber man wird sehr oft auf regeln des Hauses hingewiesen. Es wurde oft gesagt wo und wann wir sitzen dürfen oder auch nicht. Beim Ausreise würden wir 2 mal dran erinnert das wir um 11 das Haus verlassen müssen. Manchmal weniger ist mehr.

Very clean guesthouse. Lovely hosts. Nice light breakfast. Easy walking distance to town. Beautiful courtyard area. Only negative was we didn’t realise we booked a room with the bathroom not attached to the room.

Séjour sympa et très agréable

Nous avons tout particulièrement apprécié la qualité de l'accueil et la disponibilité. La chambre était impeccable et la propreté irréprochable. Claudia et son mari vraiment sympa nous ont également donné beaucoup de renseignements sur les visites et points d'intérêts de la région, un vrai plus pour ne rien rater de nos visites. Et cerise sur le gâteau le petit dejeuner était un vrai régal chaque matin, très complet et frugal le tout dans une petite cours dehors très sympa !

Unterkunft gut, doch wir waren nicht Wilkommen

Das Zimmer ist recht klein aber sonst nett. Einzig die freie Sicht auf die Toilette durch klarglas Streifen aus fast jeder Position des Zimmers war etwas störend. Im Hotel haben wir uns leider nicht wirklich willkommen gefühlt. 2 Tage vor der Ankunft haben wir dem Besitzer nochmal geschrieben da unser Flieger erst Abend gelandet ist. Wir bekamen die Antwort, dass spätes einchecken eigentlich gar nicht geht und er es für 25 € ausnahmsweise macht. Warum er unbedingt persönlich da sein muss wenn man das Zimmer bezieht hat sich uns nicht erschlossen da das Haus über eine mit Pin gesicherte Eingamgstür verfügt. Er hätte uns auch einfach den Schlüssel hinlegen können und den Papierkram mit uns im Vorfeld per Mail oder beim Frühstück klären können. Am nächsten Morgen erhilten wir ein paar Tipps rund um den Ort und zu Restaurants über die wir sehr glücklich waren. Weite Fragen zu Unternehmungen wurden damit beantwortet das wir später nochmal fragen sollen oder mit einem nicht nett gemeinten: there is a thing called YouTube... Das Frühstück ist lecker mit teils selbstgemachten Sachen. Auch mit der Lage der Unterkunft waren wir sehr zufrieden. Leider haben wir uns trozdem insgesamt nicht wohlgefühlt da wir mit dem Gastgebern nicht auf einen grünen Zweig gekommen sind. Schade!

Nous avons adoré passer 5 nuits à Roaz de Bandeira! Claudia, son mari et le personnel sont juste parfaits : sympas, accueillants, à l’écoute, et nous ont fournis pleins de super conseils! Chambre propre, assez spacieuse et avec le nécessaire. La cuisine commune, le frigo commun, l’armoire avec les couverts, assiettes, poêles et boites sont vraiment un plus! Le petit déjeuner dans le jardin, c’est le must :) Nous recommandons vivement l’endroit. Encore un grand merci aux hôtes ☺️

Great stay!!

We had a great stay here. We stayed for 5 nights. Spacious bathroom across the hallway. Good beds. Good breakfast at ground floor (that only misses eggs), in their own backyard (with great potential!). Lots of advice for activities from the hosts. Great value for money!!

Des hôtes parfaits, attentionnés aux conseils très judicieux. La chambre est confortable et le quartier calme. Leur jardin permet de prendre le petit-déjeuner dehors et de lire tranquillement à l'ombre des arbres. A recommander !
