The Fisherman’s Tower, in the heart of Olhão’s old town.
Casa W JANEIRO is a renovated fisherman’s house on several levels, with panoramic views over the sea and the cubist rooftops.
One bedroom, a private office for remote work, multiple terraces including a rooftop mirador.
An eco-friendly home combining charm and comfort.

The space

Casa W JANEIRO is one of three eco-friendly fisherman’s houses in the Casa W Olhão collection.
Located in the pedestrian Barreta district, this vertical house evokes the historic watchtowers once used by fishermen.
It offers sea views, timeless charm and full modern comfort for two guests.

Layout:

Ground floor: bedroom (queen 160×200 cm), dressing room, bathroom with shower.

1st floor: bright living room, fully equipped kitchen, shaded balcony.

2nd floor: terrace with dining area, sunbeds and office with sea view.

Roof: mirador with 360° views over Olhão and the Ria Formosa.

Amenities: fast Wi-Fi (including terraces), cable TV + Netflix, reversible AC, washing machine, iron, safe, first-aid kit and smoke detector.
Kitchen: espresso, filter and French press coffee makers, microwave, toaster, kettle, juicer, eco products.
Bathroom: towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, recycled paper.
Beach gear: towels, cooler bag, ice packs, parasol, paddle set.

Welcome basket: fresh fruit, local wine, water, coffee (espresso, filter, French press), teas, soaps, Portuguese linens, reusable make-up pads.

Lovingly restored with original cement tiles and shutters — a home for two to experience Olhão like a local.

Guests have access to the entire house, all terraces and the private rooftop mirador.

Everything is walkable: markets, cafés, restaurants and ferries to the islands.

Gelegen midden in het oude centrum van Olhao. Heerlijk genieten van zon en uitzicht.

De foto' s van de locatie klopten met de werkelijkheid. Gunstig gelegen terrassen zodat we altijd buiten konden zitten. Ook een prima keuken om zelf maaltijden te bereiden. Een aantal basis ingredienten in de keuken al aanwezig zoals koffie, thee, water, zout,olie en azijn. Een aardige eigenaar die ons verwelkomde en met trots vertelde over het huis en de omgeving. We hebben gewandeld vanaf huis naar de mooiste plekjes langs de kust. Ook zijn we met de veerboot naar de eilanden geweest met de eindeloze stranden. We hebben genoten van de lekkere pratos das dias. Het is heerlijk onthaasten in het huis van Samuel. Een aanrader.

Charming and well-renovated fisherman's house in old town of Olhao

The fisherman’s house is well-located in the old town of Olhao with its peaceful, slow-paced ambiance. The place has been tastefully renovated and retains the original charming character. It is well-equipped with thoughtful touches such as air conditioning, organic kitchen and bathroom products as well as wine and fresh fruit. Amazing views in every direction await you on the terraces – perfect for apéros watching the sunset. Communication with Sam is excellent. He was flexible regarding our arrival time and provided a good welcome guide with links to local events, including art exhibitions and personal restaurant recommendations. A wonderful place from which to explore the islands, local markets, cafés and restaurants in a not too touristy area, we fully recommend.
