Pulizia okay."

Hotel U Kaplicky

10/10 Excellent

"Wonderful meals, forthcoming staff"

Savoy

10/10 Excellent

"This is a lovely hotel, situated in a great location. Although it is located on the opposite side of town from the railway station, there is a bus stop directly in front of the property, making it very easy to access. Additionally, a supermarket is conveniently located just a few meters behind the hotel. The hotel offers views, with rooms facing either the street or the courtyard. The rooms themselves are spacious, beautifully decorated, and well maintained,"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Olešník?

The best area to stay in Olešník itself is within the village centre, particularly near its historical church and the main square.

This area provides a tranquil experience, great for those seeking to unwind in a rural setting. The village is small, and the central part features traditional South Bohemian architecture, with access to local amenities like a small shop or a pub. It's an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will find the village centre ideal. You're perfectly placed for gentle walks or cycling along the local lanes and can enjoy the quiet evenings. The proximity to the Hluboká Castle, just a short drive away, offers a touch of culture and history to your relaxing stay.

For those who prefer a slightly more secluded experience while still being close to Olešník, consider staying in one of the guesthouses or renovated farmhouses on the outskirts of the village.

When is the best time to go to Olešník?

The best time to go to Olešník is typically from late spring (May) to early autumn (September), when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities and exploring the South Bohemia Region.

May and June offer lush green landscapes and comfortable temperatures, ideal for cycling along the Vltava River or exploring the nearby Hluboká Castle grounds without the peak summer crowds. This period is great for travellers who enjoy active holidays and prefer milder weather.

July and August are the warmest months, great for those who want to spend time by the water, perhaps enjoying a boat trip on the Vltava or visiting the local swimming areas. While it's the busiest time, the longer daylight hours allow for extended exploration of regional towns like České Budějovice. Families often find these months ideal due to school holidays and the range of outdoor options.

September brings cooler, crisp air and often beautiful autumn colours, particularly in the surrounding forests. The crowds begin to thin, making it a peaceful time for cultural visits and enjoying the local cuisine in a more relaxed setting.
