I live just about 3 miles away. I had to stay in the hotel because we lost power during a storm and I was having trouble sleeping in our home due to the anxiety I was feeling, along with a case of stifling claustrophobia. I checked in after midnight, Saturday morning and planned to be there for just overnight - a few hours, really - and was still charged full rate for the room. This was exploitive of my situation and was made worse because I was told I could stay over Saturday and check out Sunda morning at the time of check-in but, when I was in the lobby/gym later that morning, I was told I had to check out by 11:00 on Saturday. It was kind of a bait and switch. All made worse because I learned our power came on right about the same time I was paying $140.00 for what ended up being just a few hours time. I could have stayed in the lobby for 20 or 30 minutes and received the text letting me know our power was back on!

"Shuttle to airport quits at 12:00 midnight. After a very disappointing travel day with the added inconvenience of an unplanned overnight stay while waiting for rebooked connecting flight, having to get a taxi to the hotel at 12:30 am was the last “dig”."
