Lake Front Stay 2023
The Rental Property was very nice and all amenities were supplied. The Rental Property was nice and spacious. Our stay was enjoyable but was cut sort due to the pending Hurricane Lee heading as a direct hit so we left a day early. Otherwise the Weather was perfect temp of 68-73 each day. Lake water was perfect temp. So we relaxed as we had planed with the exception of Hurricane Lee. We will be returning... Best Wishes to the Owner making it thru the Hurricane.

Pushaw Lake
Just a beautiful cottage. Right on the water which is exactly what we were looking for. Great parking, enough room for our kayak trailer and easy access to the water for our kayaks. Cottage was terrific. Bedroom sliders out to the patio and dock made getting in and out very easy. We had great weather, the lake was clean and clear and the kayaking and fishing was superb. Super spot!!

A week on the lake
PROS: the view & the lake were beautiful, & quiet. The dock was very accessible. There were lots of available games & puzzles. All the kitchen equipment was in good working order & fairly well appointed . Very clean except 1 issue. CONS: Everything was spotless but a pillow case which was visibly dirty & had obvious blood on it. Thankful we had a couple of pillows with us as no extra linens were available. Bazaar set up: the main refrigerator was downstairs from the kitchen & through a bedroom into a storage/laundry room. The upstairs bedroom looked like it was an easy climb up from the living room but @ the landing it became a steep, built in ladder which was treacherous especially with a suitcase. The dock, outside area & lake were lovely but there was a scarcity of floats & water equipment. If there were more in the shed, we didn’t have access to them b/c the property manager, Tiffany, (admittedly) forgot to unlock it & didn’t let us know till the end of the week. What we thought was a grill was actually a griddle. We decided to make the best of it but the gas tank was empty. We replaced the tank (out of pocket) but the grill itself didn’t get hot enough to cook so that was a waste of our time & money. And you had to walk downstairs, through a bedroom or out & around the house to access the grill & picnic table. Lastly, kayaks were there in plain sight but Tiffany informed us it would be $25/day per kayak to use them. That is a bit outrageous.

This was our second stay. The owners made lovelynupdatesbin the kitch with new countertops and large deep sink. The lake is very peaceful , so if relaxation is what you want rent this home. The only negative we were unabke to get bed room TV to work even after reaching out.

Pushaw Lake Stay
Pushaw lake was beautiful and we had access to a canoe, but there was a $25/day charge for the Kayak, which we did not use. The cottage was clean and included a washing machine and dryer. The small kitchen had a gas stove and dorm-size refrigerator. The full size refrigerator was located in the lower level with the washer & dryer and next to the master bedroom. The bathroom was on the first floor so needed a flashlight to make a.m. visits. Also, the ceilings are lower than normal so be careful to not bump your head if you are tall (especially when going down stairs to the master bedroom and refrigerator). Didn't use the TV cause reception was poor. Also wish could locate manuals for the TV and "toaster." As I said, the lake was beautiful and very clean and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay while we hiked in the area and drove 1-1/2 hours to Acadia National Park.

Property is a cottage, five star ratings show it’s value. Kayaks are not part of the rental; property manager rents them as some customers request them. Night lights available on all floors, light switch also works. Ceiling heights are on the property information. Manager told the customer that manuals are above the stove. Offered to come down and was rejected.

The cottage looks small from outside but really beautiful, clean and cozy inside with enough space inside for 4 of us. Loved the décor inside with cute little bears everywhere! Right on the water, view is breathtaking and just felt so private! We absolutely loved it!!

Beautiful long weekend
The property was in great condition and thr manager was very responsive to any issues i had throughout my stay (which wasn’t many). My only “complaint” was that the ceilings were pretty low. My husband is 6’1” and his head was almost touching! Lol so a warning to those who are on the taller side. This didn’t effect our stay at all. Everything was great :)

Cute and comfortable lakeside bungalow

Quiet and peaceful
The property was close enough to some amenities (grocery stores, etc), but far enough away to enjoy being away from it all. Cottage was a bit on the small side, but enough room for the family to spread out. Way better value than anything you can get with a hotel stay.

Pushaw Lake Fishing
Property is very nicely maintained and Tiffany, the Property Manager was superb. The main boat ramp on the lake has parking for 6-8 rigs and one day during the week it was full. One caution that I wish owner had warned me about is that there is a shallow rocky ridge, unmarked and tough to see as you head out from the the property dock. I did not have problem if kept trim up until out to about 9 foot depth.

Sorry you had an issue with the water depth from the property. I was not aware you were bringing a boat. We are in the deepest part of the lake which is 29’ at the deepest location. I will secure a depth chart for the cottage for review by boaters. Thank you for the information.

Very clean and cozy cabin on a serene lake. Direct access to the lake with beautiful views from the cabin. Stress free stay as the cabin is fully stocked, inside and out. Able to fish right from the back yard and enjoyed a peaceful canoe ride around the lake. Fire pit was perfect at night. Online listing is accurate, great communication with the hosts and co-host Tiffany (who did a wonderful job of taking care of the cabin and making sure we had everything we needed). Quaint lakehouse in Old Town

Beautiful lake house with incredible view!
We had the most wonderful family vacation last week staying in this wonderful lake house. We arrived to find the house immaculately clean (thank you Tiffany!) and we loved the charm of all the wood and fun lake themed decorations. My daughters enjoyed sleeping in the loft area and the pull out futon was perfect for our son. My husband and I picked the bottom floor with the view of the lake to wake up to. The patio is where we spent a lot of time (thanks to sunny days in the 60s - we lucked out for mid-April for sure). We enjoyed the swing bench and reclining chairs and made s'mores in the chiminea at night under the most incredible view of the stars. And each evening we enjoyed the sunset and sound of the loons. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and we enjoyed the extra space of the fridge in the basement since we brought some food with us. We enjoyed our tour of UMaine, had an amazing dinner at Thai Orchid in Orono, and spent a lovely afternoon walking around Bangor. We loved every minute of our stay! Wonderful house and location!
Everything was really great from the communication with the manager to the location to the house itself. The fact that the manager contacted us prior to our stay and stayed in communication with us really made a difference. It's often the the "little details" that have the biggest effect. We had a really great time and loved the location and all the activities we experienced. The house was really cool and had everything you could need from kitchen stuff to the canoes and maybe our favorite was the outdoor fireplace (with so much firewood) and the beautiful view of the lake. Oh and the incredibly cute chipmunks! Seems to be a chipmunk corridor. The only improvement I might suggest, as others have mentioned, is that there is not a lot of drawers or cabinets for you stuff/clothes as most of them are filled with stuff. They have opened some of them up but if maybe they could empty some of the cabinets near the bedroom downstairs that would be helpful. Though this was very minor. Overall such a positive experience. Also just random but we had a little car issue and somehow the neighbors appeared immediately, as if by magic. They really saved the day and just helped to put our minds at ease, in the pouring rain no less, and made a difficult situation much better. Thank you Old Town and thank you Maine!

Lovely lakeside cottage
Super clean, super comfortable, and very well equipped (TV device, washer/dryer & wifi is great) - the extra large refrigerator/freezer in the lower level was a great added bonus. It was perfect for just my husband and I, but we could see how the seating arrangement/floorplan could be challenging for a larger group or family with kids. Overall we had a really great stay! Thank you to Tiffany for doing such a wonderful job with cleaning, it was really appreciated!

I LOVED staying here. I didn’t want to leave. We were constantly doing something. We brought our kayaks and jet ski up and it was easy to launch The jet ski and we were able to keep it tied up at the dock at the house. A great little house on the lake. I didn't completely understand the layout from the pics/description (maybe I didn't read it thoroughly!). Since the property is sloped (down to the lake) the main level that you walk in on includes the main living area with kitchen/dining/living space. It's very nice, comfortable, and the views of the lake are fantasic. From there, it's a few ladder-type steps up to a loft-style BR with a double (queen, I think) bed. This was great for my young adult daughter and her friend to share. Being a loft, there's not a proper door to it, but it's still mostly private --moreso than most rooms that would be considered lofts. Heading downstairs from the living/kitchen/dining area, you are in a large room on the patio/lake level. This room has a murphy bed that is kept in the bed position (i.e, it's used as the main bedroom). There's a small desk area for a laptop and a loveseat (wicker style). There are sliding doors leading right out to the patio/lake. House is well stocked with all you'll need in the kitchen and plenty of clean linens. Very nice. As for location, you can go south for a day on the coast or north for a hike in the mountains. It's a bit far for a day hike in Baxter but there are hikes southwest of there that are fantasic and about 1 1/2 hrs drive. The lake community is quiet. You can swim/canoe right off the cabin's dock. All in all, place was perfect for us and I would highly recommend:)

Cute, clean cottage
My husband and I enjoyed this cute little cottage for a few days. It was clean, quiet, and located right on the lake. The cottage is a cozy spot for two and is well maintained with beautiful wood interior and cute decor. The point of contact, Tiffany, was helpful with any questions. One thing to note: If you are a person with mobility issues, there are vertical ladder-style stairs to the loft-style bedroom. The loft was wonderful to sleep in, just a little tough to maneuver so you don't hit your head, especially, if you needed to get up in the middle of the night. Loft is best suited for nimble kids or agile adults.

A great respite
Super sweet cottage with a phenomenal view! The cottage was spotless when we arrived thanks to the hard work of Tiffany! Just be aware that there is not a whole lot of room for your belongings since each dresser drawer and cabinet is filled with stuff for the house. Pack light! We had a great time and loved the house!

Relaxation at the lake
My husband, two teenagers and I just spent a relaxing 5 nights at the lake cottage. Communications with Tiffany ahead of our visit was great. She answered all of my questions and had many recommendations. The cottage was just as depicted and very clean. The views are beautiful and the lake area is very quiet. It took about an hour and a half to get to Acadia where we spent a day. Thank you for sharing it all with us!

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location
This was our first trip to Maine. We had the most wonderful stay in Old Town. The cottage had everything we needed. The canoes were used daily by my family. I preferred the serenity of the deck laying on the provided anti-gravity loungers. The sounds of nature and the sunsets were amazing. The beds were comfortable, although we did not use the upstairs bed because it was extremely hot the week we were there and the cottage does not have air (one of the only negatives). The owners thought of everything here. There is even a propane lobster pot that boils your water and allows you to enjoy your lobster in no time. Tiffany, the manager of the place, responded quickly any time something came up. She even recommended dinner places when we asked. We enjoyed our stay so much and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for a great experience!

Idyllic Maine Cabin
We had such a wonderfully relaxing week getting away from day to day life at this beautiful lakeside cabin in Maine. The place was exceptionally clean and and functional for a family of a four. We spent days doing puzzles, swimming in the lake, canoeing and reading books. Fires in the evening with smores and sunsets. Good fun was had by all!

Lovely Lake Getaway
The house was sparkling clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking and baking. The towels and bedding were super soft, scented with Downey. Great bathroom and shower, extra large fridge downstairs, washer/dryer. Canoes and life jackets too. My husband is tall (6'2") and he had some difficulty with the loft access, lower level access and there is a low beam between the living area and the dining area, so tall people beware. The patio was lovely. Extra large picnic table, chair swing and deck chairs.
