The restaurant has good food which is a tad expensive but expected I suppose for the quality of the hotel. The pool is smaller but great to cool off in. A couple of things I did not like. One, the birds in the outdoor sitting area. They congregate at night and don’t stop squawking until 2 or 3 in the morning and start up again around 5 a.m. they are so loud outside the rooms that it’s hard to get a good nights sleep. Two is there are only a couple of restaurants within walking distance everything else you’d have to taxi too. This is a great hotel to stay a night if you’re in Belize city for an excursion. I definitely wouldn’t stay for an extended vacation as there’s not much to do around the area. We were able to stay an extra night but had to move from a suite to a cabana. The cabana was not level and felt like you were leaning. The mattresses in both were old and had springs that poked you while sleeping. The staff at the cafe on Sunday were shady; they told us to bring them our food and drinks and they would cook/serve them for us. We never got them back, and they charged us for a meal! I would not go back again."
