"We've been coming to Oqunquit for summer family vacations for 3 years. We've stayed at other place in town. We stayed at the Ogunquit Tides Resort for 4th of July weekend. It was a very nice place to stay especially during a busy holiday weekend. It's about a 1/2 mile walk east of town just next door to the Ogunquit Lobster Pound and short walk to Big Daddy's ice cream and the Omelette Factory.
They have a nice large pool with plenty of space to hang out in the sun. Beach access does involve either cross the Ogunquit river at low tide or walking west to town or east to a foot bridge.
The hotel desk has a tide table. Check the time of high tide when you cross the river. We got caught out on the way home. Not a bad walk back if you're okay carrying you beach chair and cooler.
Another great thing about the resort. You can borrow a kayak! Just sign up early at the front desk.
Lots of space for parking.
The rooms appear to be recently renovated.
This is a great place to stay for families! We really enjoyed out stay. We're planning to come back here for out next trip to Ogunquit!"
7-bedroom home that sleeps 14. 5-minute walk to Moody Beach
10/10 Excellent
"This house was perfectly located for us to walk to the beach and enjoy it. The beach wasn't very crowded which was nice and the water and waves were cool! The home itself housed 13 of us and we all had rooms to sleep in. Just a note for the room that had the bunk beds. These are more for toddler/younger kids but we made it work! The dining area was big enough for all of us to play board games and the kitchen was a good size as well. Richard, the host, was easy to contact if we had any questions. The hot tub wasn't working well when we were there but he let us know someone would be there to fix it. This house is definitely an early to bed, early to rise house. When you have a large family here, you need to be light on your feet because you can hear everyone moving throughout the house! But, that is the joy of vacation! Thanks again for a great vacation in your home!"
"A perfectly kept classic motel. Nothing fancy, but a great alternative to the very expensive nearby options. Very easy bike ride to the beach; walking is possible also."
"The Mariner is a great place to stay. It is simple and clean. Nice location for restaurants but it is not in the center of Ogunquit. It is not on the beach but has a wonderful view of the marsh. It is a family place so there are plenty of children to enjoy."
"They do not have handicap accessible rooms. There was a tub and a low toilet. We made it work but I think they could update the restroom. The ice machine was also pretty disgusting, I did tell them when we checked out, so hopefully that will be corrected. The television wasn’t working so the girl at the front desk tried to fix it but had to call the manager who came and fixed it. The girl in the office even followed up to make sure it was working properly. Overall it was clean and comfortable."
