This house is secluded yet just a five minute walk to scenic Perkins Cove. Sleeps eight, with two full baths. There are four bedrooms on the second floor, and a full bath on the first floor and second floor. This beautiful house has been newly renovated. Refinished floors and windows now accent the beautiful architecture. New kitchen and refinished bathrooms feel comfortable but there is still a sense of the history that is rich in this house. All floors are original, beautiful hardwood, downstairs and upstairs. Large formal dining table, seating 8\. There is a covered porch with ample space for grilling (gas grill included) and outdoor entertainment. Plenty of space for parking up to four cars. There is a washer and dryer, and heat to take the chill off those chilly nights. Details about the house: First floor: Kitchen- electric range, stainless steel french door refrigerator, large stainless steel sink, newly redone wood floors Dining Room- with large table that seats eight, baby high chair available upon request, large fireplace (non-functional), games located in the sideboard Living Room- large sectional down-filled couch, smart TV, another large fireplace (non-functional at this time) downstairs bathroom- stand up shower, toilet and sink Second floor: bedroom one- two twin beds, games and books for small kids, two dressers, three large windows, window AC in the summer bedroom two- one queen bed, a very comfortable leather recliner, a dresser, three large windows and window AC unit in the summer bedroom three- king bed, one reading chair, pack-n-play stored in the closet and available if needed, dresser, three large windows and an AC unit in the summer bedroom 4- two twin beds, one reading chair, dresser, three large windows with an AC unit in the summer upstairs bathroom- clawfoot tub with a shower, toilet and original sink. other details: \- outdoor propane grill included \- there is a swing set on the property that is available to use \-the pond out back offers a place to enjoy the peace and quiet \- it is an easy 5 minute walk to Perkins Cove and from there, the Marginal Way and the center of Ogunquit. \- People who stay here love the close proximity to Ogunquit and yet the quiet seclusion of the property. My husband and I live on the property with our two young kids. This was our first trip to Perkins Cove & Ogunquit. We enjoyed the solitude this house offers in addition to it being within easy walking distance of the foot bridge to Perkins Cove, the Marginal Way, and Ogunquit. We found this old home to be charming, and Tessa and John were great hosts. The first day we heard a smoke detector low battery beeping in the attic and John came right over to replace the battery. If we come back to Perkins Cove, we would have no hesitation staying here again. Highlights of our trip were the Puffin & Whale watch out of Boothbay Harbor, Ogunquit Beach, Coastal Maine Botanical Garden, visiting many lighthouses and eating at local restaurants. ##### Joseph C. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything you would want for a relaxing vacation. We were impressed with how well appointed the home is. There were beach chairs and towels, sand toys, a soft cooler and beach cart readily available. The hosts thought of so many details like q-tips and cotton balls, lotions and soaps and cozy blankets for snuggling on the super comfortable couches. There were games and toys for children too. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food during our stay, but we were close enough to Perkins Cove to walk to a variety of restaurants or get food delivered. Walking along the Marginal Way at sunrise was a favorite activity for us, but sunrise could easily be viewed from the upstairs bedrooms or porch as well. It was easy to access the beach, trolley, or a variety of options for coastal boat tours. The owners were wonderful; very responsive and helpful as this was our first trip to the area. The proximity to Perkins Cove was one of our favorite things about our stay. So picturesque with great seafood and cute shops. Marginal Way, a paved walk along the ocean, is also a must. Ogunquit Beach is beautiful and clean. Being as lovely as it is, it’s no surprise that it is also very popular! Parking was a bit of a challenge. Also, Ogunquit has one big intersection that doesn’t have any traffic control signage and takes a bit of time and patience to get through. This makes it difficult to get to anything north of the town as well. We took the commuter rail from Newburyport to Boston for the day which was nice to avoid driving/parking in downtown Boston. It is very convenient to the Marginal Way and Perkins Cove. We had a lovely stay here and the owner couldn't have been more helpful or accessible. I'd definitely recommend it! ##### Jennifer S. Walking distance to Perkins Cove. sleeps 9\. Only suggestion would to remove the full bed and replace it with a queen or king bed ##### Mike C. The beds were clean and comfortable. We found that the kitchen cabinets and bureau drawers needed to be aired out as they seem musty. Coming back from Perkins Cove via the trolley at night to finding our way up the hill heading toward our house was too dark. This house will be wonderful in the future, but as it now stands, it is a work in progress. RICK WAS A WONDERFUL HOST! ##### richard m.
