Close to canyon, food, shopping and nightlife! This quaint home is located on a quiet cozy street within walking distance of McKay Dee Hospital, Ogden Regional Medical Center and Weber State University Dee Events Center. We are just 5 MINUTES from the mouth of Weber Canyon and a SHORT, BEAUTIFUL 20 minute ride to Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, Nordic Valley, lake sports, hiking, golfing, fishing, all within a short distance! Just minutes to shopping, food, spirits and downtown nightlife as well, you will find access to all your needs to be hassle free. This comfortable home is fully furnished with soft carpet, tile, updated cabinets and granite counter tops, stainless appliances, bay windows, vaulted ceilings, and beautiful views. Queen size beds, flat screen televisions, DVD selections and even a cozy gas firepit and barbeque grill on the private backyard patio! Warm up to a quiet fireplace indoors as well. Whether you're here for business or vacation, this home is quiet, cozy and convenient! This is what a return guest had to say: "This is the second winter we have rented this beautiful home for 3 months. After we rented it once we knew that when we came back to Ogden to ski Snowbasin for the season that we would definitely want to stay there again. The house is the perfect location to everything in town and to the mountain. A short 20 minute drive in the morning and we are there! Plus we get to see the beautiful sunrise over the mountains on the drive up. If the roads look too bad for the drive there is a park and ride bus you can catch close by and season pass holders can buy a pass for the entire winter for only $10\. Another plus is that there is very little snow in town but lots of snow at the mountain for skiing. Most days we are in light jackets when we get back and I am able to walk my dog on trails just off the roadway and around the hospital. The back yard is fenced in so I am able to just let our dog out back without a problem. The house has everything you will need and if you are lacking anything or have any issues the owners Tracy and Jay will be right there. We highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the Ogden area but especially to skiers. It is truly your home away from home. The home had everything we needed, including a large pantry closet to store food and other essentials for our extended stay. The backyard was absolutely perfect. The house has so much room and different levels and beautifully decorated. There are instructions for everything in the house. We loved the home feeling to it. House was on a quiet cul de sac near the hospital. We ate in most nights. I communicated with the host, who was responsive and confirmed the propane grill in the pictures was operational and had plenty of fuel. We grilled multiple times and it was great. House was very clean and the ability to use the garage to park was very convenient. We wanted a place close to our sisters house that we were remodeling. We came home each night tired and had a clean nice place to relax and talk and play cards. The fire pit and the bbq. made it just perfect. The neighborhood was quiet and we were able to have a nice clean place to just spend time with all the brothers and our sister relax and recuperate for another day of work. Spacious layout and well appointed. Great price point. Have room with foosball and air-hockey. Host responded quickly to messages. House is great location for food and fun and getting to ski resorts. Cons: There are a few that make this disqualifying for us as a good place to stay.1) master bed is super creaky. Any movement and the wood frame creaks and makes so much noise it woke both of us up with every movement.2) I don’t believe the electronic code to the front door or the garage keypad are changed between guests. This is a significant safety concern for us. 3) Neighborhood has several homes with barking dogs. One in particular had dogs barking at it until almost 2AM on our first night there. The house directly next door has a deck overlooking the back yard and a dog there barked at me non-stop when I stepped outside. I reached out to host and in summary said there’s nothing they can do about it or offered help. So…for those who might find this review after being in a similar predicament…Ogden City ordinance prohibits barking dogs after 8pm. Barking over 15 min prior to that time is also illegal.
