Just 100 yards to the beach. Our lovely beach house has an unobstructed view of the ocean from the kitchen, living room as well as from covered deck. The beach is just across the street with public beach access. It is very light airy feel inside. A 9' sliding panel glass door has been installed beach side. The kitchen has been remodeled with new stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, granite counter tops, backsplash, breakfast bar and a second drink fridge downstairs. New furniture and beds in all rooms, flat screen TV in the living room and one bedroom. New lighting throughout. Welcome to the "new feel" 82 E 2nd Street. Make yourselves feel at home. Located on the corner of East Second Street and Concord Street. This home is right across the public beach access and is just a few blocks from the center of the island, with restaurants, shops and mini golf. Enjoy an evening walk to local restaurants, shops, pier and entertainment. Amenities include: HVAC, Internet outside shower, washer/dryer, downstairs 2nd fridge, WIFI, 1 54" flat screen TV, , outside sink, bar, seating area, fire pit in the backyard, grill and picnic table, 2 covered porches The backyard is fenced in and lends itself for a relaxing BBQ on the newly installed river rock ground. This space was great for what we needed. Our favorite part was the proximity to the beach - a very short walk, even with little kids. Two porches, and lounging area under the house and a stone backyard with fire pit give you plenty of room for a group. We weren’t able to use the fire pit or backyard area due some major fire ants, but it didn’t interfere with our plans. The hosts were lovely, very communicative and easy to work with if anything came up. We had everything we needed for a weekend at the beach. If you’re going during peak beach season, plan meals ahead. Restaurants, on the weekends, seem to fill up early with very long waits, and even take out took a very very long time. We were able to cook in the home, as an alternative, which was perfect! Lots of things are walkable - ice cream, coffee/breakfast, few restaurants, park and splash pad, etc. Great beach and rental for families. ##### Mandy B. Great location to golf in Calabash and Ocean Isle. Kitchen upgrades were really nice. Would recommend getting some baking pans for the oven (at least we couldn't find any). We have been coming to OIB for 20 years or more and have always stayed at our family beach house. This year our kids brought friends to the beach with them so we decided to rent our own house and could not have been more happy with this house. Even after being used to our own family home this house did disappoint. The kids had a great time, it was actually closer to the beach and the area under the house was great to hang out with the kids! Sabine was very responsive and always answered my questions honestly and accurately. I would recommend this house to anyone interested in coming to OIB!! Thanks for a great stay! This was a great little home. Bedrooms were a good size. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. Very close to the beach. Nice porch with rocking chairs.
