    Big Blue has everything you came to the beach for! Just one block from beach access, this 5-bedroom, 5.5-bath home has ocean views, a private pool, tiki bar and plenty to keep everyone entertained. Grab the bikes, take the paddleboards out for the day or stay home for a pool day. From mornings on the water to nights around the tiki bar, Big Blue is made for a week of fun and relaxation!

    The first level has its own family room with a TV, foosball table and wet bar, giving everyone some extra room to hang out. Send the kids down for a foosball tournament, catch up on your favorite show or enjoy having a second living room when everyone wants to do their own thing.

Beautiful OIB Home

This house is perfect for a large family. The pool area has a beautiful bar and great entertaining area. The home is in an excellent location with a very short walk to the beach access.

Family Vacation

We have rented this home two times! Just love it !! Every amenity we need ! Love the bicycles and chairs available for guests. Open concept upstairs has beautiful views in all Directions!

Great location

We loved Big Blue! The house was well equipped from the pool to the kitchen. It was clean and bright with a great layout. The location is wonderful at the end of the island where there are less people and more beautiful beach to walk and explore. We loved being able to see the ocean from the bedroom decks. We will be back!

Great family vacation

The house was exactly as described and more than big enough for our extended family. The bikes provided where used every day. amazing ocean views out of all the windows! And all the deck/balcony space was perfect. Beach access right across the street. One thing to note is there is one refrigerator and no ice maker so for a group our size we went to buy ice almost daily. The bunk room also got warm at night with no ceiling fan. Overall great family vacation and I would stay again! Ocean Isle Beach is one of our favorites!!!

Great House (small issue with cleanliness)

We had a great stay and the house and location are great. However, there appeared to be an issue with the cleaning schedule. We arrived and there were dirty towels and linens still present (with no cleans towels/linens for us) and some dirty dishes in kitchen. Property manager was responsive but took a little bit to get rectified. Elevator was also broken which was unfortunate for the older people in our family. We would still stay at house again given location, amenities, and size.

Lovely beach home

The beach home was decorated beautifully and had plenty of room. Location was perfect. It was really nice having bicycles and chairs that we could use. Everyone enjoyed the pool!

Peaceful-relaxed family fun

From the first moment we stepped into this house it provided us everything we needed and more. Plenty of room , beautifully decorated, close to the beach and far enough away from main bridge that it gave us a tranquil laidback feel. We absolutely loved making memories here and We would recommend this home to all families.

Great Family Gathering Place!

This property was perfect for our family vacation! The location was perfect, as the beach is just a short walk or golf cart ride away. The kids loved playing on the beach and the tidal pools in the am when the starfish and crabs were plentiful. The house was roomy, clean, and beautifully decorated, and had lots of extras like bikes, the pool and poolside bar that everyone enjoyed. Lots of memories were made and we plan to return in the near future to this special spot!!!

Even Better Than Advertised

This was our first time to Ocean Isle and our stay at Big Blue couldn't have been better! Beautifully decorated, it was perfect for our large family of children and grandkids. We enjoyed a great ocean view and hanging out on the expansive porches. The bikes were a big bonus...rides to the pier and to get ice cream were a big hit...we look forward to visiting again next year!

Big Blue is a big hit

Perfect location across from the beach with great ocean views. One block in the other direction and you are at the intercoastal waterway for fishing, kayaking or paddle boarding (all available at the house). New house with many decks and pool with bar area. I highly recommend Big Blue!

Everything was great except there were no hand towels for the bathrooms, wash cloths were insufficient and cheap, and only one kitchen towel and dish cloth for 10 people.

RENTER BEWARE! Poor Management, Ownership and Integrity

Renter beware. We rented this property and were excited for our stay. The house was nice and pretty clean other than the kitchen cabinets being extremely disheveled and lacking organization, but nothing major. We made no mess and cleaned the counters and did everything we were supposed to do on checkout (even more because we vacuumed for them). BUT! Then, the owners and property manager decided we were not getting our deposit back. The claim was a broken chair near the pool, which we had not broke (pictures from our arrival that showed it was already broken). I messaged the property manager a couple of times and spoke on the phone with her. In her response she said, and I quote “There was things not put back in there place and the owner was in after your stay and is very upset with how things were”. Of note, what they claimed was out of place were the dishes in the cabinets and 2 hangers under a bathroom sink. All of which were like that when we arrived. Regardless, that wouldn’t be any reason to withhold someone’s damage deposit considering it’s not damage. When I responded back to ask her about this and to explain we also had a picture to show the pool chair was broken when we got there she decided to stop responding and even blocked my number so my calls wouldn’t go through to her. I brought the situation to VRBO and they reached out to both the property manager and owners over the course of a month so they could respond. They didn’t. In the end VRBO escalated the case to their travel care department and eventually to their transfer and security department. They reviewed the case and VRBO ended up refunding us the deposit. The whole thing took over 3 months of calling VRBO and about 25 cumulative hours on the phone with them. The experience was awful and could have been remedied if the manager and owners would have had any sort of decency or respect for their guests. Instead they chose the path of just ignoring us even though we had photo proof that they were lying about us damaging a chair and withholding our deposit. I write this not to whine about things, but to make sure everyone who books this house is aware of who they are booking with. If you decide to book please take pictures and cover yourself in the event they try to do the same thing to you.

Perfect family getaway

We had a great trip to OIB and loved every minute of our stay at Big Blue. The house, the pool, the location - all perfect! There was plenty of room for 4 couples and 2 small children. We enjoyed gathering in the spacious kitchen/dining room for family dinners with local seafood from Captain Jacks. It was nice having a grill, beach chairs and boogie boards in the garage. Also - the elevator made unpacking/packing and our grocery haul so quick and easy. We rented a golf cart which was fun to ride around the isle and visit our favorite Sunset Slush, however the house is so close to the beach we really didn’t need it for beach hauls. We hope to visit again in years to come!

Family Vacation House

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Big Blue! We appreciated the many amenities and the bikes were a great extra! The house was a very short walk to the beach, had a really nice pool / outside bar area, TVs in all the rooms, and bed & bath linens included. The only negative were the skillets which were pretty worn. We would definitely stay at Big Blue again!

Big Blue did not disappoint. The house is very nicely furnished and everything looks new. We really enjoyed the pool and it is just a short walk to the beach. We would definitely rent this home again.
