"Liz, Ashley and the entire staff at The Inn were excellent and made us feel so comfortable and welcome! Breakfast was delicious and we could have asked for a better stay. Upon waking up to a plumbing issue, Ashley and her staff were right on it and even moved us to a suite to complete our stay. We will definitely be staying here again and this Inn and the Marilyn, their sister property, will always be our first choice!"

"We had the best stay at The Lillagaard! We were only there for one night but wish we stayed longer. From the very start, the owner, Suzanne, was beyond accommodating. She called to see when I would be checking in and when I told her I was going to be in town earlier than expected she offered an early check in since the room was ready. "Location is great. It's a cute place; minimalist property. It's clean the bathroom was nice. The air conditioning wasn't very good at all thanks goodness we stayed on a cooler weekend because it wouldn't have been a good thing had it been hot. The lighting isn't so great ,door locks are wonky, steps are very steep. The breakfast was ok . Wish they would have had coffee out during the day and evening. We went for a getaway for a special occasion.With all things considered it is a Old Victorian house so it's dated . It served it's purpose. It was very clean and pretty comfortable. I f your used to upper middle or top dresser rooms and amenities this isn't what you're looking for. If you just want minimal accomodations in a clean lovely room with a great location in a very nice quiet area Beachliner will do the trick ."

"Very disappointed. It definitely has potential and a good location. We went the weekend after Memorial Day and it seemed they were not ready for the season. Pool was not opened. Staff was very young - it seemed like they were left unprepared. Restaurant seemed chaotic (breakfast & lunch). I felt like I was walking into someone’s home unannounced. Each time they seemed surprised to see people there; they weren’t sure what they had and where it was. I got a premium room overlooking river and overall it was nice. Beautiful view - kind of distracting with huge dumpsters in the parking lot but I know they have to go somewhere. I can overlook the poor paint jobs and patching but the shower would not drain, the towels were rags & the hairdryer was missing. We notified them about the shower and hairdryer. They said they would address it but nothing happened. Something about seeing the thin, ripped shredded towels made paying that price feel unacceptable. Maybe it gets better as the season goes on? But for the amount of money paid it was incredibly disappointing. We would not go again."

"Check in was a breeze and the gentleman who helped me was fantastic. I traveled to Jersey for work and my trip became negative because check out clearly states 12 pm. I left for work in the early morning and DID NOT CHECK OUT. I made it back to the room before check. My plan to sleep and shower before my travel home. When I got there someone had been in there. The sheets and pillows thrown all over the. The bathroom half cleaned. My water bottle still there. When I went downstairs the girl who checked me out asked housekeeping. Housekeeping said they knocked and since no one answered she assumed I was not coming back and was starting the cleaning processor. I was offered no compensation for being forced to check out early , no other room to Atleast shower or even the ability to go back into the one I had. All I was told sorry and would you like your receipt. I travel all the time for work and have never been forced to check out early."
