Additional 2 bedroom apartment available for larger parties (ID 825555) Fantastic 35” x 15” in ground pool that is 4' - 5’6” deep, perfect for lengthy swimming if you want that extra bit of exercise or just relaxing in the cool water under the sun. Condo is also fitted with dishwasher, glass top cooker, granite counter tops, microwave, fridge freezer with ice maker and luxury bathrooms with multi jet shower and glass sink. Apartment comes fully equipped with iron, ironing board, washing machine, flat screen TV and comfortable furnishings. Bedrooms are laid out as one Queen and one Twin room. A valuables safe is provided for your convenience. Hire cars available to be collected and paid for at the airport or delivered to the apartment after arrival. Just tell me the size car required and I will obtain quote and secure a car quote for your approval and once you approve the quote the booking will be confirmed and no payment is required until you collect the car from the airport or have it delivered to your apartment. Six Roads is 5 mins drive away with supermarkets, coffee shops, fast food, restaurants and more. 5 minutes drive away you will find our local - Dis Ole House Launched in 2020 and working hard to keep all the wonderful traditions and local cuisine of Barbados alive with a fantastic selection of drinks including local rums and Craft Beer. Live music every night and a wonderfully romantic setting. Beaches: Crane Beach (about 5 min drive), originally a harbour, is considered by many to be one of the island's most beautiful beaches. In fact, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous rated it as 'one of the ten best beaches in the world'! Located less than 5 min away on the south east coast of Barbados, Foul Bay is absolutely beautiful (despite its unfortunate name!). The expansive beach is partly shaded by casuarina and palm trees, making it a popular spot on weekends and holidays for picnics and family outings. However, the beach is so long and wide that even then it is never crowded! Beaches on the south coast have fine white sand but are windier than those on the west coast. Reef-protected areas are safe for swimming. Some beaches have good surf and are prime spots for windsurfing. About 20 minutes drive away is St Lawrence Gap with all its Nightlife: The St Lawrence Gap, in Christchurch Parish, is the night life centre of Barbados, located on the more commercial southern coast of the island. The resorts on the south coast are spread out, some even fairly isolated, but the Gap itself is lined with dozens of shops, restaurants, bars, and clubs, and, correspondingly, several resorts are clustered there as well. This part of Barbados is more casual and inviting than the Platinum Coast, and the resorts are hardly behind high walls. Johnny Cool's Jazz and Blues Beach Bar located right on Dover Beach has to be one of my favourite spots on the Island for the best chill out experience ever! Indulge in some of Johnny's (locally known as Cool) superb cocktails and frozen drinks and feel all your stress just melt away in this idyllic setting. Sailing Barbados: Nature's bounty has blessed Barbados with excellent weather, calm seas and steady breezes, making sailing off Barbados 'just beyond your imagination!' There are several Barbados yachts and catamarans available for charters. You can join a scheduled cruise or customise your own personal sailing tour. You can charter large catamarans and yachts for guided sailing tours down the scenic West Coast of Barbados, gliding gently through the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea as the steady winds fill the sails. Relax on board a catamaran and watch the beautiful coastline of Barbados slip by. Then drop anchor in a quiet bay for a swim in the crystal clear waters, followed by a sumptuous Barbados lunch! Best surprise was waking up the first morning and realizing what a great view of the ocean and sunrise there was from our patio.! My 6 yr old absolutely loved the pool, which was large and refreshing. We had debated getting something closer to the beach vs a place with a pool and I’m so glad we chose this place as a dip in the pool in the evening was so nice. (Besides, nothing is very far away in Barbados and beaches were easy to get to). Place was comfy and had everything we needed. Chris and his wife went over an above as a hosts ensuring that we had everything we needed, this included recommending tours, restaurants and arranging car rental and transportation from the airport. Isy the property manager was also on hand throughout our stay welcoming us at the airport, transporting us to the apartment and showing us around the local area. She also arranged for us to have groceries waiting for us when we arrived. All of the above made our stay extra special. The apartment was spotless clean and well maintained and we had everything we needed. The location could not be faulted and we benefited from superb clifftop views and a constant cooling breeze which kept the bugs and mosquitoes away. There is a grocery store a short drive away and some lovely restaurants in and around the Crane resort if you don’t want to stray too far. There are a number of lovely beaches nearby including Foul Bay, Debra bay, Shark Hole and Bottom Bay. Bottom Bay is a must see as it was voted one of the most romantic beaches in the world. The apartment is in a quiet and beautiful area and is the idea place to relax and unwind be it sitting in the cooling breeze or taking a dip in the pool. My only criticism is we only booked two weeks. Top tip navigating the island. Download an offline map via Apple Maps so you don’t need mobile data. ##### Amanda D. Isy picked us up from our previous property, took me to the supermarket (stopping on the way to show me some beautiful sights) and took us to the airport on our return home, for a very reasonable fee. Isy is very personable in that I feel I made a new friend :) Everything you need for a self catering holiday is in the apartment. The furnishings, bedding, towels, are all lovely and new. It’s obvious that Lexy, the lady that keeps the apartment 5 star clean really takes pride in her work. It was spotless! The pool is brand new and more than big enough to do laps in and the pool area is a real sun trap! The view of the ocean and lovely south coast breeze from the terrace is breathtaking. There’s a well stocked supermarket around 15 mins walk from the property, nearest beach around 30 mins walk. And bus stop with regular busses around 10 mins walk. The neighbourhood is safe and locals you pass in the street are always friendly. I would recommend a car if you don’t like using the bus as there aren’t any restaurants or bars within close distance.
