We didn’t know we had to Pay an additional $25 a night for parking. The maids showed up at our door at 7pm to clean our room. No place to eat except a tiny bar with happy hour food. We will not be back!

We stayed at Ashore this past weekend (Friday to Sunday) and had a fantastic experience. While we were in Ocean City for the Ocean’s Calling Festival, which unfortunately was canceled, Ashore made the trip worthwhile. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ocean City.

We spent two nights at the Ashore hotel and I am sad to report that the experience did not meet our expectations. First I think it’s important to mention that there was $150 pet fee that was not listed in the Expedia price and secondly, our AC was broken and the room did not go below 75° both nights we stayed. We brought this to the staff’s attention but all they said was sorry. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back.

Hotel was beautiful. We had issues checking in because of additional parking fee. We do not use cell phones and initial staff would not assist us. We were also not given our meal vouchers or informed about availability of wi-fi. Would not order cocktails again and would have enjoyed "lighter" cafe offerings, menu was heavy on the deep fry side. Ovrer all hotel was very nice.

The property was nice. Views were wonderful. Staff pleasant. One big issue was on the restaurant and bar. First night the bar was overwhelmed and the bartender was rushing and spilling drinks all over. Add a frustration. He started yelling at other members, which made things uncomfortable. Second day the breakfast staff completely ignored us. After being seated in, let us walk out with no resolve. Until we, I had to come forward. And speak to management later that day, which dislayed our whole day. Management did take care of it as best they could. But this was a huge disappointment.

Room was spacious, with a couch and a small table with 2 chairs. Balcony was small, but adequate. View was lovely! Bathroom had a night light (I know, I know a small thing, but in the middle of the night it's a big thing!) That massive "Ashore Deck" was fantastic for chilling out. Bar in the back was good. Didn't eat at the main restaurant; too expensive! Staff was lovely, friendly and helpful. Appreciated that water was available to fill up our water bottles in the ice room and near the restaurant. It would've been nice to have complimentary coffee in the lobby early in the morning, like all the other Marriotts and other nice hotels have. The door to our room stuck tight and we had to pull hard every time we opened it. And it was LOUD, too. Not great at 5am!

The pictures on the website are deceiving. We paid for Ocean view which the picture shows a clear view of the ocean, but it’s a side view. Also, the pictures are deceiving regarding the balcony as the balcony is tiny, and one person can barely stand on it very deceptive we would’ve booked somewhere else, knowing these things.

The property was great in proximity to the beach, very convenient. Very quiet, not a lot of kids and despite the amount of dogs we saw, it was very quiet. Our Kuerig was broken, so we had to get the coffee from the gift shop...so that amenity wasn't free. Overall, it was lovely.

The property itself was great, very much a resort atmosphere. You don’t have to leave if you choose to Nightly music/entertainment, yoga on the beach, outdoor/indoor beach side dining and bar service on the beach! The add on option for breakfast, at the time of booking, is worth it(@Tide Room). Our room did not have a microwave - the only minus. The room tower is perpendicular to the beach. So the only ocean front view in the building are rooms on the East side or maybe the top. All other available ocean views are at a sideways angle because your windows/patio face the properties on the left/right of the hotel. Long story short-you won’t be disappointed staying here. We look forward to staying here again.

The Ashore hotel surpassed my expectations and was wonderful. It is immaculately maintained and had stylish touches. I have never had a better stay in Ocean City.
