From the kitchen is a short corridor to a downstairs shower room (with shower, w.c. & basin) and drying area. The spacious sitting room at the front of the building (equipped with a double sofa bed for occasional guests, CTV, DVD) has an open fire and fantastic views of Loch Melfort, with a staircase leading upstairs. On the first floor is a landing leading to three bedrooms and a bathroom (with bath, over-bath shower, w.c. & basin). We would have enjoyed more time here. In that short time we received above and beyond care. I asked where we might be able to find ice when checking in. The nearest market was already closed for the evening. Olwen from reception was so nice. She said she couldn’t promise, but her husband might be able to help. An hour or so later her husband knocked on the door with our special delivery. So incredibly kind. Thank you again! ##### Diane H. Our unit was located close to the shore of the loch with beautiful views over the loch. All staff at the resort were friendly and welcoming but I would make special mention of Olwyn from Customer Services. She provided excellent information about the surrounding area and places of interest and if you attend the musical evening and the gin tasting event you will find that she is very talented. We had an enjoyable dining experience in the Shower of Herring. The unit is well equipped and very comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending Melfort Village.
