There’s no safes to lock up your valuables, or at least my room didn’t have it. I also took pictures/videos of anything broken in my room when I checked in, just in case as well because my mirror light wasn’t turning on at all, and there were a few things broken in my room. I’m not sure if it was my room only but there was kind of a funky smell for the first couple days of my stay and then it slowly went away after. Other than those issues, I had a pleasant stay. I would definitely stay again if I need to. I didn’t have time to try the free breakfast there but next time, I will. Thank you Comfort Inn Hayward for your hospitality!

This place is relatively inexpensive and there is a reason. The wifi barely worked if at all. In my first room, my devices couldn't find the wifi. It works great in the lobby, but in my second room, the wifi was weak. My devices recognized it, but they were repeatedly disconnecting. It completely cutoff around 8 am. I could not do anything that required a stable internet. After getting no help from the front desk, I found a nearby coffee shop with wifi open until midnight. A branch of my gym was also nearby and they have great wifi. This place has a safety issue, too. There was a backdoor right next to my room with a big sign "do not use this door" that kept getting held open by a doormat, despite being shut multiple times. I never saw who was using this door. The tv channels are horrible, too. They have limited channels and the majority are some Fox or Fox News channel, religious, or QVC. It was hard finding anything to watch. The tv reception also cut in and out several times. The room was mostly clean, but it had stains in the bathroom and things like towel rack would fall off if used. The only good thing about this place was I could walk to several stores and restaurants. It did have a nice breakfast, although could have used some healthy options like oatmeal and whole wheat bread. Still, nothing can make up for them promising wifi and refusing to deliver.
