House was clean with newer kitchen appliances. We only made coffee and toast for breakfast. Yet, kitchen had everything that you would need to make a full meal. One suggestion, don’t forget slippers as the polished cement is pretty but cold in every room except the bedroom. Dugger was communicative and extremely easy to work with, despite a bit of a hassle with VRBO in terms of the app confirming and cancelling my booking. The home served our purposes, although those not looking to drive should know that there are not lots of large grocery stores or several restaurant options in immediate walking distance, which was not an issue for us since we only needed a landing pad to spend time with friends. ##### Julia A R. We loved Dugger's house, it was charming, perfectly located and very pleasant. There has a lot parking in front of the house. Very comfortable, homey atmosphere and so quiet despite the busy street (home is set back in the lot). Great home base to UC Berkeley and exploring the general East Bay area. Charming, comfortable and restful accommodations. Bright with skylit rooms. Dugger was a wonderfully gracious host, willing to be flexible when our flight delays altered our arrival. My gracious host met me upon arrival to show me around the clean and comfortable house. He was very kind and welcoming. Kitchen is particularly beautiful. Beds were extremely comfortable and the residential area was quiet and safe. 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops on Shattuck. Lovely place. ##### cindee h. The host though is the true gem. We had a family illness during our stay and Dugger blocked out days for us to stay extra, and let us pay nightly. It made a stressful situation so much better. The best part of the home is the garden area, the flowers, and fairy lights at night are perfect. I'd not hesitate to stay here again. ##### Amber M. The pictures are accurate, the property is lovely , and Dugger is an ideal host. Dugger was communicative, responsive and kind. I stayed there with an infant and young child and the home was well suited to all family members. When my older kid lost a favorite toy, Dugger was kind enough to search for it thoroughly.
