We found the people in the town of Oakhurst to be friendly and the cabin to be in a convenient location for daily provisions and then some. The host ensured we had everything we needed for our stay and included a personal welcome, treats, and lovely decorations for fall. We felt like we were staying at a friend's home. The hot tub was especially nice after long hikes, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and making coffee. We were able to roast marshmallows and do some bird watching from the deck. Though the house is on a mountain road, it is an quick drive to town for supplies. Best stocked kitchen including spices, coffee sugar for coffee, etc.No soap or shampoo in bathrooms. Adding that would be great. Note that there is a separate air conditioning control for the upstairs in the dining room.Yosemite valley was very crowded. Waited an hour and a half to get in the park in mid-June.
