Beautiful Location but Disappointed in Cleanliness
Our family was quite impressed with the location of the home. Home is right on the beach with beautiful views from inside the home. We were able to watch the fireworks right from the back deck. Kitchen and dining room has plenty of space for large families or group. If you are planning on eating out, ensure you reserve dinner week before traveling if you are visiting during the high summer months.
That being said… the cleanliness of the house was terrible. There was a moldy smell on the first floor, mold in the showers and so much dust on the ceiling fans we couldn’t even turn them on. Toilets had rings in them. There was brown food stains on the walls and blinds in the dining room. Sofas were stained and stools in kitchen were horribly ripped. Furniture was stained, outdated and some were falling apart. Bedroom furniture was fine. Some of these issues are easily fixable with a deep cleaning and updates on furniture. For such a beautiful home, these issues didn’t make sense. Elevator wasn’t working during our stay as well as outdoor shower. When you have small children, we really missed having the outdoor shower, so we just used the hose. The agency attempted to come in and clean the day after we arrived, however, once guests arrive, this is difficult to do. It was cleaner, but the issues such as the stains and mold were not fixed. They also attempted to come and fix elevator but because we were on vacation, we asked them to return once we left as this wasn’t a necessity for us. If cleanliness and furniture is updated, we would return.

Housekeeping is definitely lacking
The property is gorgeous. The home at one time was high end. However the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The jacuzzi tub and steam shower in the master bath had to be cleaned before we could use them. The tub had a ring on the inside and definitely had not been cleaned. And it leaked. The shower leaked also and clearly had not been cleaned. The mirrors and windows in this otherwise beautiful home were dirty and/or streaked. The elevator did not work and it smelled like sewage inside. Also the bathroom rugs in the downstairs common area smelled horrible. They too had to be washed and dried before my 17 year old kids would use that bathroom. There were several lights out that just needed a light bulb change. My husband took care of that.
Again...beautiful property. Great home. But definitely needs better housekeeping services. I believe we left most things in better shape than we found them. I believe we should have been paid during this stay.
