    New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.Located directly on the beach, this cottage offers a classic beach holiday with lovely ocean views throughout the entire house. An open layout features a full kitchen and an inviting living area with a smart TV - perfect for movie nights. Step out to the private deck and enjoy front-row ocean vistas. A gas grill and picnic table set the scene for cookouts at home.

    Spend the day splashing in the ocean or relaxing on the soft sand. Or walk to nearby Middleton Park, where you'll find a neighborhood playground, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a soccer field, and a picnic shelter. Southport is within a short drive, and Bald Head Island is a quick ferry ride away.

Fun stay

We loved the deck on the house and enjoying meals outside. It has a lot of needed amenities and was a great location. The home does need a thorough deep clean though. There’s quite a bit of dust build up. The bathrooms could use some additional attention as wells as the floors.

Nice Place

Nice place for our weekend vacation. The house had everything we needed and is conveniently located close to restaurants, stores, etc.. the beach view is beautiful and not alot of people. The only room for improvement we noticed was the cleanliness. There were multiple areas that havent been cleaned/dusted in a long time, and there was trash and food from the last occupants in between the couch and under the bed.

Loved This Home

First time to Oak Island and this home was perfect for my family. My 2 daughters, their husbands and my granddaughter came to stay with my wife and l. The location was perfect for us. I have a bad knee so instead of walking through the soft sand I visited the beach via the handicap beach access just 2 houses down. The home has everything we needed and more. The furniture was very nice and the bedding comfortable. The back porch is large and we hung out there a lot eating meals, relaxing and looking out over the ocean. Thanks for allowing us to stay at Turtle Time!! We look forward to returning soon!! Scott and Family.

Great stay for the price!

The location of the home was perfect right on the beach. All furniture and bedding felt clean along with the kitchen items. Showers were a bit dated and had mold built up in the cracks. Other than that, the cleaning crew did a great job on surfaces, but the walls, pictures and ceilings had an abnormal amount of dust built up and we had someone with an allergy. Vacasa sent a cleaning crew out and we were good to go. We really appreciate their responsiveness. There were 4 people in our party and it fit us comfortably. Note: A big selling point for us was the firepit in the photos- it does not exist. Would definitely come back if Vacasa continued to be so responsive.

Classic cottage with modern updates

We’ve been vacationing at NC beaches for 3 decades and this was our first opportunity to stay beachfront. The cottage was a perfect blend of classic (original wood details, simple layout) but nicely updated kitchen and bathrooms. The A/C was out the night we arrived (seems like an ongoing problem based on past reviews) but since it was October we opened the windows for a lovely breeze. A repair tech came out first thing in the morning and it was fixed by 11am. So many great things are walkable (coffee, restaurants, playgrounds) and of course being able to walk off the deck and just a few steps to the beach was amazing. It cooled off our last evening there and we looked forward to using the fireplace on the porch but the ignition was broken so that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise we would definitely rent again and look forward to bringing our kids back in the summer.

Perfect Family Trip

Turtle Time exceeded our expectations for our family vacation! The house was comfortable and located in a great spot for access to the ocean as well as activities with a short walk or drive. Perfect Family Vacation

Our family vacation at Turtle Time on Oak Island was better than we could have imagined! We were so thankful for the comfortable home and ideal location for beach and town activities!
