"My husband and I, both in our late 70's, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin retains its old historic core, which gives it warmth and character and is situated in a beautiful setting. It has been updated thoughtfully in ways to make it very functional. Everything that one needs is here and Sandy is a good communicator.One thing worth noting; we opted not to use the upstairs bedrooms because of the stairs which are quite steep. There are two bedrooms on the main floor, so there was no need to push ourselves.There are plenty of reasons that this listing get such high marks!"

"We needed a get away from heat of Phoenix and busy lives. This is the most peaceful quiet retreat. The porch is the greatest place to sit and watch the birds and squirrels and decompress. The host was so helpful with incredible tips of what to do in the area and the home was perfectly stocked with great kitchen appliances and pans etc. We will definitely be back but thoroughly appreciated such an incredible retreat."

"We had a wonderful stay at Tara ('Los Pinos de la Paz')! The cabin is cozy, rich in history, and truly lives up to its name as a peaceful escape—the perfect place to relax and beat the hot Phoenix heat. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. I loved all the little notes with helpful rules and directions around the home, as well as the generous supplies—the kitchen had everything we needed, including plenty of Tupperware, paper towels, and toilet paper. There was bird seed to feed the local birds, board games stocked for relaxing evenings, and a wonderful playhouse for kids (too bad ours are all grown up!). Outdoors, we spent so much quality time with family—exploring the surrounding area, going on hikes, and sitting together out on the wrap-around porch, swing, and hammock. What really made this property stand out from others was how exceptionally dog-friendly it is. Having a fully enclosed space with a ramp for the dogs made traveling with our fur babies completely stress-free, giving us a safe, secure place for them to enjoy the forest right along with us. You can really feel how much love has gone into this family home over the years. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway and would love to return!"

"The cabinet was very clean with zero complaints. However, I just have missed the small print that explained the bungalow was not in the main photo but was rather in the back under the main cabin. A bit of a surprise to have the cleaning people in there for several hours cleaning and moving furniture.. quite loud. When the family for the main cabin arrived, the noise continued."
