"Hotellet uppfyllde våra förväntningar. Väldigt lugnt och fint. 5 minuter till stranden. Sängarna!!! Har sällan upplevt så sköna sängar som på detta hotell. Rekommenderar hotellet å det varmaste"

"Pros: Warm water pools (3 of them), sugar white powdery sandy (absolutely no sea-weed) beach with warm sea water better than the Maldives, Maasai shops next to the hotel and in the village within walking distance, large roofed restaurant with seating on white sandy floor, plenty of beach loungers, friendly restaurant staff
Cons: Dated rooms, water leaking from shower to rest of the washroom which they could not repair after multiple attempts"

"Extraordinarily attentive staff with personable service. We enjoyed the spicy sauce and Flora went out of her way to make a specific batch to take with us. Elias was also friendly and knew when to circle back to us."

Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort.. UNIQUE being the operative word.
This resort is by far one of a kind and it completely exceeded mine and my partners expectations. We would definitely visit again, and again and AGAIN, hopefully annually. The staff deserve a 10/10 on their consistently outstanding customer service throughout our entire stay literally everyone is extremely friendly and helpful, the food is amazing, the alcohol is amazing and the beach and VIEWS ! We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach....

Excellent option, friendly and extremely helpful staff. The only observation is that I found there to be too many Indian food options for both lunch and dinner and I missed more grilled food.

Incredible stay! The room was lovely and such a quiet and peaceful location, right on the beach. The best part was the staff, they went above and beyond at every opportunity to make our stay as special as possible. We will be back!

We had such a lovely stay - the room and view were incredible and the beach was like paradise. The staff could not have been friendlier, and the restaurants and food were outstanding.

Little sanctuary with direct beach access and sunrise facing pool. Beautiful spacious rooms with character. Staff are the best, super kind and accommodating. Thank you for checking me in late night and open reception for check out/bag drop early morning. Can highly recommend.

We stayed at the the Zalu for a week in October. We both had the most amazing holiday, the service at the hotel was lovely and had a really personal touch as is to be expected from a 5 star hotel. The staff were attentive and helpful in organising day trips. The beach and pool area were simply out of this world and the food in the restaurants was sublime. Whilst the portions initially seemed small after 3 or 4 courses we were both extremely satisfied as the food was just so good. The suite was...

Incredibly family-friendly hotel. Fantastic service - from the head chef to the front house manager to the housekeepers, everyone working to make sure you got what you needed. As a family with 3 small children we very much appreciated this level of attention. Drawbacks were a mediocre kids club and lots of stairs up and down to the rooms. Food and entertainment were abundant and good, but not great. Was fully booked for most of the time we were there but didn't feel crowded.

If you are looking for a proper escape to a quiet paradise then look no further. The Marafiki bungalows are set in lush greenery with steps down to the sea. There is a lovely pool but no real sandy beach, though with swimming shoes, you can get down easily to swim when the tide is in. The restaurant is fantastic with a brilliant breakfast menu setting you up for the day and a wide variety of choices for the evening meal, all beautifully cooked. However what makes this place really special are...

From the second we arrived, this place was stunning! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a beach front bungalow, which was a lovely treat and made our stay even more special.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful, so well cared for, clean and full of lovely little touches. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily with fresh towels, and bedding changed every few days. Plenty of hot water, a really good shower and drinking water provided in the room every day.
