The fan motor in the heat pump required repair or something as each time the heat pump fan turned on it would make a humming sound - if you’re a light sleeper this will keep you up all night, if you’re a heavy sleeper not a worry. Note that nothing is open in Nubeena on a Monday night to have dinner, not even the take away, but there are a couple of small supermarkets and, as we had a microwave and plates/utensils etc, we ended up having microwave dinners. I called ahead and spoke with a very helpful gentleman who gave me lots of tips of things to see on our way. We booked this place to be close to Port Arthur for the next day and it was perfect, an easy 15 min drive. The room was clean and relatively modern, the heater worked well and there were electric blankets, important in Tassie! It was very quiet at night.
