The staff were very helpful and kindly made lunch reservations for us. You can request a late check-out, but there's an extra fee for it. However, leaving luggage is free of charge. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and happy to assist with recommendations. It was noisy at night (nearby area, not hotel itself), however this was a Saturday too. The bed is pretty hard and more pillows would be useful. We also couldn't get TV connected for Netflix etc. despite trying a few different things - very limited if you don't speak French. Overall a good stay and reflective of what you pay. ##### Timothy Stayed 1 night in May 2023 ### 10/10 Excellent #### John 30 Jun 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities Gondwana was terrific - from the warm welcome and patient assistance with my terrible French (which in practice meant putting anything remotely complicated into English so I could butcher their beautiful language with my replies) to the impeccable cleanliness and constant good cheer, they really go out of their way to give you a pleasant stay. The suite has a private balcony with a lovely little garden that looks over the neighbourhood and across the bay from the 6th floor. There’s a communal patio on the mezzanine level with a reasonably priced breakfast service and tables for chilling out or meeting other guests. The area is great, safe and quiet at night but with good dining options. It’s also close to the town centre and the port if you want a ramble. Gondwana is an economical option in a relatively expensive town that nevertheless hits all its marks.
